I just heard this on ESPN. A very tragic story, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Chris Henry as well as the Cincinnati Bengal family.

I've had the opportunity to meet and talk with Henry 4-5 times over the past couple years, and for all the off-field issues he had, he was always nothing but respectful and willing to have a conversation with my friends and I. This just sucks on so many levels right now for me. Unbelievable how a guy finally decides to try and get his life in order, a la Sean Taylor, and when they finally start making progress, God takes them. Really makes me wonder some times.

 

RIP Slim. Thank you for always taking the time to share a few words with my friends and I. You will be missed. :cry:

I feel so bad for this KID and that is really what he was. He was so young and given a ton of money and had so many "hanger on's" so he made some stupid choices. He seemed to have grown up in the past 9 months and really was looking to be a great player.

 

I know the fiance probably will never live what happened down.
