Not only is being offered by ND awesome, playing for Kelly can only help AC. Kelly is going to put you in a position not only to help the team, but to help you personally succeed. Look at what he did with Conner Barwin last year. If he hadn't switched him to TE, then he'd be out in the real world now instead of chasing down QBs. The same goes for Gilyard and Jones this year.

Exactly.....I know Marty was a little upset last week with his comments but without Brian Kelly he would be sitting in the Gutter somewhere. IMO... People tend to forget about that. Brian Kelly if given the chance will put A.C. in a position only to help himself succeed on the college level.

Heard when BK left Cincy, AC requested that film be sent to Notre Dame.

I think it would be cool to see AC wearing the Green/Gold and it is very close to home so the family and friends wouldnt have to jump on a plane in order to watch him.

 

I still say on Jan 9th when he lays the 3 hats out in front of him they will be Stanford/Notre Dame and Harvard and AC picks the one in the middle.

 

I say his top three choices are... Notre Dame, Stanford, and Oregon!

 

I think he's Notre Dame all the way if the offer is on the Table!

Of all the teams mentioned as being on AC's final list, I would love to see him at ND. We'd certainly get to see him more often on tv, and earlier too (in the case of Stanford and Oregon)

When you play big time college football, it doesn't matter where your degree is from on a Division 1A scale, you are set for life. More than anything, a lot of it depends on where you want to live the rest of your life in terms of being "set".

 

A Notre Dame degree and being a star on the gridiron opens up the entire world.

 

A UK degree and being a star on the gridiron opens Kentucky and the southern USA. One thing about Kentucky alum that are huge football and basketball fans, they tend to take care of their own in a big way. However, so do most places, especially Notre Dame.

 

Both are pretty dang good, it just depends on your preferance. Best of luck to Austin.

True. The talent is there. However, the chance to play sooner would be at UK over ND. I do think this really hurts the Cats' chances to land him, but can still hold out hope.

I disagree with this statement quite a bit. For every stand out college player there are 10-15 kids who have nice careers and "ride off into the sunset." Being a DI player does not open up all of the keys to the kingdom.
