December 5, 200916 yr Pitt has to feel dead inside, they totally had this game. After watching this if Texas goes down tonight, I feel like TCU should play SEC champ.
December 5, 200916 yr UC stole this game IMO. Pitt really out played them, UC just got all of the bounces and was able to convert late in the game.
December 5, 200916 yr Pitt has to feel dead inside, they totally had this game. After watching this if Texas goes down tonight, I feel like TCU should play SEC champ. How can you say that? UC has played a much, much tougher schedule and were ranked #3 in the BCS computer polls which show no bias as do the humans voters do. UC won this game on Pitts field, and in lousy weather that favored Pitt and not UC. BTW I was able to watch the UC game on my TV and UK on my Computer! Go Cornhuskers!
December 5, 200916 yr What a game. Down 31-10, Pike gets it together for a fabulous comeback. Go Huskers!!!
December 5, 200916 yr Author Has Wannstedt ever won a big game? I've thought for weeks that next week's game at Pitt was going to be UC's downfall, but I now think that BK's coaching alone will be worth at least 10-14 points over Wannstedt. The difference in the ballgame. The halftime adjustments by BK and staff were outstanding.
December 5, 200916 yr The difference in the ballgame. The halftime adjustments by BK and staff were outstanding. Maybe BK told them he was staying? I never thought UC would come back when down 21 with the way the defense was playing. It was only a matter of time before the offense and special teams made plays. However, I didn't think they could stop Pitt's run game. I think Pitt may have gotten a little too conservative in the 3rd. They continued to try to pound the ball between the tackles when UC made the adjustments to slow it down.
December 5, 200916 yr Very nice comeback... they sure have the O to play with ANYONE..... but the D must show up in January.
December 5, 200916 yr Great comeback for the B Cats. Extra points aren't that important are they??????? I would hate to be a Pitt fan right now. Bet theres about a hundred thousand people on suicide watch right now around the Three Rivers area.
December 5, 200916 yr Gilyard and Pike are fantastic. I kne Cincy would not lose this game, even down 21. Those guys care too much and are fantastic players.
