December 6, 200916 yr UC's offense wasn't great today yet they were able to put 40+ on the board. I haven't really watched too much of Pitt this season but Lewis is a stud, 194 yds on 47 carries for a 185 lb runner is impressive. By the looks of Wanstead's stache, I believe it's going to be a cold winter. I'm sure plenty of former adult film stars wish they could grow one like that.
December 6, 200916 yr You're not watching the Nebraska/Texas game are you? I might have it on in the background...
December 6, 200916 yr Congrats to UC on an incredible year. BK versus the Wannastache is a no brainer. Didnt see anything but the highlights but got to think Mardy's kickoff return was HUGE...in this one.
December 6, 200916 yr Whether or not UC gets into the National Championship game, the Sugar Bowl or another Bowl at this point is still in question, but think about this: The SEC and Big 12 games were played in perfect conditions inside domes and all four teams still had multiply turnovers and sloppy play! UC played in the cold, wet snow and new sodded grass that was less than perfect, and yes they too looked sloppy at times but at least the conditions played a part in the miscues! Ala and Fla played at a neutral site, Texas played in a sense at home, while UC had to play in front of a hostile home crowd at Pitt! If the human polls don't take into an account what UC had to do Saturday and move them up above TCU in the rankings, then indeed money and prestige rule the BCS voting and not the better teams. BTW it would not surprise me one bit if UC moves up to number two in the computer rankings and if they do and they don't play in either the BCS championship game or the Sugar Bowl, then truly the BCS will be joke! We shall see!
December 6, 200916 yr Just got back from Pittsburgh and that was the best sporting event I have ever been too. There was a bunch of UC fans in the stands at Heinz field which was great. Pitt could not have asked for better conditions for this game. The weather, wind and terrible field conditions were all big advantages for Pitt's style of play compared to Cincy's and they were able to overcome that for the biggest win in school history. I'm very happy we made the trip. The bars and restaraunts around Heinz and PNC are great and it is a shame the city of Cincinnati has not figured out how to do that. Hopefully they eventually figure it out and develop the area between the stadiums and replicate what they have in Pittsburgh. We met a lot of Pitt fans and were treated great and it was a great atmosphere all weekend. A terrible weekend to be a Pittsburgh sports fan with the Panthers loss, the Pens losing last night and the Steelers losing today. The recruiting stats listed above is a testament to Brian Kelly's ability to coach. I really hope he sticks around.

We shall see! Are you serious? We should reward UC because they played their last REGULAR season game on the road? Condiditions where tough for both teams, not just UC. Arizona went to USC and won so let's put them in the top 5. Cincy wasn't impressive yesterday IMO. If they haven't been better than TCU all year, I don't see how yesterday puts them over the top. UC has a glaring weakness in it's defense. TCU's defense is nasty, and they have some offense to go with it scoring 40 ppg. The two teams schedules are really comparable as well IMO.
December 6, 200916 yr If they haven't been better than TCU all year, I don't see how yesterday puts them over the top. Actually they were ranked above TCU for most of the season until TCU passed them in a bye week.......
December 6, 200916 yr ^^Still nothing I saw yesterday, warranted being rewarded by the BCS. Bad defense.
December 6, 200916 yr ^^Still nothing I saw yesterday, warranted being rewarded by the BCS. Bad defense. What I saw from Texas does not warrant a chance to play for a championship. AWFUL offense. What's the difference???
December 6, 200916 yr What I saw from Texas does not warrant a chance to play for a championship. AWFUL offense. What's the difference??? Well, that awful offense is led by one of the leading candidates for the Heisman Trophy the past 2 seasons. Plus, Nebraska is supposedly known for its stingy defense. Another difference is the strength of schedule. Texas does not play an overly demanding schedule, but they have beaten 3 ranked teams, including Oklahoma. I can't remember if Bradford was able to play in that game or not (I think he did then got hurt again), but the point is that they played a few of the big dogs & won. Cincinnati is another big win away from being in the national championship. Maybe if Oregon State had a better year, or if South Florida hadn't lost Grothe, etc. etc. The biggest difference though is Texas' history and reputation. If Cincinnati is able to string together a few good years in a row, they'll earn that respect. I'd love to see a UC / Florida matchup.
December 6, 200916 yr What I saw from Texas does not warrant a chance to play for a championship. AWFUL offense. What's the difference??? The difference is Texas needed to win to stay in the game. UC needed a great performance to move up in the rankings, and did not have one. How is this hard? Let's punish TCU, because UC won a game they shouldn't have won.:idunno: I have no problem with UC being a 4, but we can't punish TCU because of that game IMO.
