You've got UT on ropes after turnover...what do you do?

Play to win, play to NOT lose, or just see what happens?

Cobb, Locke, Conner, Cobb, Cobb, Locke...IT IS NOT HARD!

:madman::madman::madman::madman::madman::madman:

I have never been more upset for the players...they didn't play great or even good at times, but UK straight up played to tie...Come on Joker!:irked:

I know who I wouldn't have had on the field (NEWTON), but I digress.

The 31 yards they had on that drive was their longest drive of the second half. Newton was responsible for exactly two of those yards. On the play that we're all basically saying he shouldn't have been in on.

I thought for sure we called the timeout just to give Cobb a blow to get him ready for the two shots at a first down, then 3 shots at the endzone.

I can't understand why we did what we did.

I see him about 3 times a year and am SERIOUSLY gonna ask Joker, what the heck! It is not rocket science or hindsight...GIVE COBB OR LOCKE THE FLIPPIN BALL and NOT on a screen!

And just think UK fans he ( Joker ) will be your coach when Brooks retires.

I think UK tricked themselves at the end of the game. Cobb was hot, but they probably felt he was worn out and that UT would figure it out. That drive seemed to be the only form of offense had had in the 2nd half. I would have loved to have seen what Cobb could do for the rest of the drive, but I guess I can see what the coaching staff was thinking.

I told my dad that UK should just go for the first down or the touchdown and try not to get into overtime because it would be one ot. The second half was tough. Just go for it and try to win in the fourth but do it with Cobb or Locke. I hope I live to see us beat them someday.

Cobb period. You need to get the ball to your best player, the only way you can do that is to put him at QB. So do it.

Yes but someone else will be calling the plays

You hit the nail on the head.

UK got a big break with the Tennessee fumble. Kentucky had played a terrible second half and had a chance to win the football game despite their performance.

They truly played not to lose instead of attempting to win the football game. Rich Brooks and staff will be second guessing themselves for a long time after this one.

Joker didn't have the, I'll use the word "guts" instead to go for it. There is no way he can explain not having it in Cobb's hands. Also think that the Head Coach can and should have over ruled him and said , we win it or lose it with Cobb. I've heard of players playing scared but a play caller, pathetic. JMO

I agree. They out thought themselves on that one. I hate it, but I think you nailed it. I would have gone Cobb, Locke, Conner until you score. I have seen coaches do this so many times. I am still a big Brooks supporter, and always will be, .... but I didn't like the playcalling down the stretch once they got in striking distance.

If Newton scores on the QB run around the end, Joker is a genius and surprised UT...however, 5 of 8 play calls when it is crunch time and Cobb doesn't touch the ball...UNACCEPTABLE!
