Would you like to go back to before when we MIGHT see the Cats in a bowl game every 4 years? To when they would never beat the teams they weren't supposed to beat? I am very disappointed in the loss, but look forward to another bowl game. There are a bunch of teams that would love to trade places with UK right now that won't be bowling or finishing off 4 straight winning seasons.

 

UK has done well the last few seasons, compared to past UK standards. However I dont think that we should settle for being mediocre every season. Yeah 7 wins are good but how many games agianst quality opponents has UK won. Most wins have been agianst lower level teams or agianst the SEC basement dwellers of Vandy and MSU.

 

I think that Coach Brooks has done a great job, however UK needs to start trying to get out of the basement and find ways to compete agianst the top tier teams in the SEC and quit relying on bottom feeders and lower level schools to get to bowl games.

Additionally, I'm so glad we have Steve Brown compared to Archer. Archer's teams are still giving up huge number of points over at NC State.

The difference in champions and wanna be's is champions keep digging and finish the game wanna be's sit back and watch. When it is a rivalry game and 24 year losing streak, you find ways to finish. Thats why the NCAA gives you 3 timeouts in a half. You dont take them home with you after the game so use them.

I was looking through to see if I could find any comment on the penalty on the punt. Didnt cost us game or anything but I have NEVER heard of a holding on a punt being marked off from where the ball is caught. Shouldnt it have been from where we returned it?

Yeah...when I talked to my mom, she was talking alot about that punt.

Agree...sustaining a good block on a sprint out would take more energy than the sprint out.

Spot of foul was 7 yard line. Punt was caught close to UK 42 and returned to close to UT 42. Official called holding on KY, then TN and changed again to KY. Then he said since hold was while punt was in air at time of holding penalty would be marked from where the punt was fielded. I have never heard of this. It has always been marked from foul if behind where ball is marked or from were ball is marked if in front of ball. From what I understand this was the crew that was suspended earlier in the season by the SEC.
