November 30, 200916 yr The reason he didnt have the ball at the end of the 4 quarter was because the kid was gasped. He had to get a break. There's no way he was too gassed to try to win the game. Barring an injury, which would be perfectly acceptable, there's no excuse to not put the ball in Cobb's hands.
November 30, 200916 yr I said that 10 times watching this game, I told the ones around me that if Cobb would hand it off, Locke would get the corner and be gone...But yet i had to suffer through this loss wondering why one of the fastest players in the SEC couldn't get the ball on a sweep.. That's funny...I kept telling my buddy the same thing. I don't buy the gassed thing either. He had to be tired but he is one of the most competative kids to ever put on a UK uniform. His shoulder was dragging a couple of weeks ago and he was still getting after it! I love and still support the Cats but I sure would have put the ball in Cobb's hands at the end of the game and OT! You think Fla wouldn't put it in Tebow's hands....
November 30, 200916 yr I'm with you, MT. :thumb: Newton will be very good in time. I am mad as heck that we didn't put Cobb in the wildcat and go for it on 4th down. I honestly think that was our very best chance to win. I like Newton as well, he will be a very good QB in time. He stood up like a man after the game and tried to shoulder the blame for the loss, even though it certainly was not on him. I'm trying to forget about Cobb and the wildcat, just get myself frustrated every time I think about it.:irked:
November 30, 200916 yr Fidler could hand the ball off to Locke better than Newton could. :idunno: Yeah, that's probably why. Glad your around to offer such insightful posts.
