Ha dang is that a frosh picture or do they play varsity Rock? I was looking for a varsity picture and wow if those don't look like some fine athletes... Either way they still look just as fierce as those stud giants that X puts on the gridiron lol...:banana:

 

Nvm did some additional research and figured out #17 is James quick a wide out with some pretty impressive numbers for a young fella, not too mention a sweet name!!! Also considered the top freshman basketball player in the state...I think it may be fair to say he has ability to give the X secondary fits as he is much more athletic than any of the SK WR's who pretty much turned the X secondary into chop suey...

I agree and join you in that sentiment.

 

From all accounts he is truly an outstanding young man - who has been subjected to things he should not have - all due to his Father's occupation. What a sad state of affairs.

 

He has made tremendous progress. We wish him all the best - and I feel he will come out of this on the other end even better and stronger.

St. Xavier has won its last two playoff games with the help of contriversial calls (pass interference call against Simon Kenton and fumble not called against Greenwood). Their quarterback limped through the game at Greenwood and only shared time against Simon Kenton. The defense still hampered by injuries was slashed through by both the running and passing games of their previous two playoff opponents. The offense was unimaginative and the passing game at best was simple.

 

Trinity has dominated its playoff opponents. Coach Beatty's innovative attack has teams on their heels defensively at this time of year. With the rushing performance in their last game to go along with the passing game that befuddles most defenses the Trinity Shamrocks are repeating their time honored march through the playoffs as so craftily engineered by Coach Beatty.

 

The early losses taken by Trinity are meaningless and the team now on the field bears no resemblence to the team that took those losses. This is a tale of two teams, regular season Trinity and Playoff Trinity.

 

Even the mighty Highland Bluebirds would have a tough time with Playoff Trinity. The St. Xavier squad will have to revamp itself this week in order to have a chance at stopping Playoff Trinity in its quest for number 5. I am sure St. Xavier coach Mike Glaser and staff are seeking advice from others to figure out this new Playoff Trinity squad. It will be, as it has been, a daunting task for St. Xaveir to compete with Trinity on the playoff stage.

 

Nice try Alan - to remove that Rhesus off of your back and place it on ours. Valiant try - but it won't wash. X has to be and will be favored. Once again - appear to have the team and the players to claim the Trophy. A season's worth of posts by the X faithful have extolled (understandably) the strengths of the Tigers. All of that cannot be undone in a week. Anyone with any sense will not accept that the Tigers are now in 'trouble." We are happy to be going again - and hope to be competitive.

Let's not all pretend we don't know what has happened the last 4 years....the pressure is all on X. Favored??? Who cares?? Means nothing excpet for those who live in Vegas. The bottom line is Trinity has made adjustments in personnel that will make this game look nothing like the first game. As a wise poster said earlier, the game will probably come down to turnovers--or who doesn't make them at crucial times. If big turnovers don't happen then I think the game hinges on the ability of X's secondary to not give up the big play and to not allow Trinity to methodically pick them apart by playing 10 yards off Quick and Co...Not an easy task. Offesnively for X, ball security has to be emphasized this week. We fumble like we have the last couple weeks we can kiss this one goodbye. Good luck Tigers!!

Do you think that may throw him off his game with that in his head? Also the weather forecast is for below freezing temps for this first time all year. Does this favor St.X because they run more, or does it matter? It's going to be very cold and that seems to keep scoring down.

In regards to his head, we won't know.....but when I played we had stuff going on in my life....and once you get into game mode, that's all out the windows....if anything the game will keep his mind off of it more than anything.

 

In regards to freezing....as long as it's dry it should be the same as if it's warm...all of our skill players will have warmers, and the balls will likely be kept well, also......I hope it stays dry.

From what I have been told he is a pretty well rounded kid. I'm sure that he has has a tremendous amount of support around him from family, friends and coaches. His father's situation is not something that just came up so I would think in a sense there has to be a bit of a relief. I realize I could be way of base but just an opinion.

 

I wish the best to this young man and his team.

The Male game was as brutal as it could be in regards to how Brad was treated...and what all was going on....I think the un-known is much harder to deal with....and he Rocked in that one.

If he's been able to handle the opposing fans' taunts all season, and the uncertainty of his dad's situation all season, I'd say this game will be pretty easy for him. It's all settled, and frankly, he has nothing to lose or prove in this game, IMO. If he's anything like my son, especially when he played, having all settled in his life will mean he plays loose, for the love of the game, his team and his family and friends. He really has nothing to prove.

 

That's all just my opinion.

 

As to the weather, I certainly can't make any comment on that one. :lol:
