Got to go with the Shamrocks. StX will be tough but they don't have Beatty and that's a 2 touchdown difference IMO.

 

Also, I bet attendance is 10,000 less than they would get in Louisville. A lot of casual fans who will go to a local game won't make the trip. For those of us who don't have kids on the team or in the school it's hard to justify making that trip.

 

The case has been stated against having it in Louisville for this reason as well.

At this point I still believe that St. Xavier is the premier team in the state, and with that I tend to think the Tigers are going to win. This is Beatty's best time of the year, and he has a knack of putting everything together at just the right time. I hope that happens again.

 

We seem to be at our healthiest right now, and have found the right pieces to make this another legendary game. I just am not sure if we can make up 25 points in 8 games.

No Sir - The Loyal Fans will travel and be there. What I am curious about is the 'unafiliated populace" - from the BG area - who will turn up just to watch the game.

 

Maybe will be proved wrong - will be a simple resolution. Compare the #'s from BG with Louisville. GReat for the WKY teams - but somehow I think that kids all over this State aspire to play on the Carpet at PJCS.

 

Now it will be time to see how BG hosts these 2 days - compared to the known in lou.

 

The kids all over this state aspire to play in a championship game. They could give a horse's pit-u-ay (sp) on where the game is played. As far as the fans are concerned, I think many were growing tired of Louisville and the thousands of empty seats in the stadium. Many across the state have been filling their cars or jumping on buses for the event... curious if 'Louisvillians will do the same and show the same courtsey to Bowling Green...

I gotta go with Trinity on this one.....I think that this will be the closest played game of all six championship games.

Here is the question of the day. Which team has more pressure to win this game? Of course, my answer is X. Reason is simple. X has to rid the demon of losing to Trinity in every post season meeting in the Beatty era, not to mention that they have been the favorite team every single time. No exception to the rule this year either. X mauled T in the regular season, and they are favorite to win again. X has the injury issues that T suffered early in the year.
