Meyer to Notre Dame is Calipari to Kentucky. Just like UK last year, ND has some big name talent but has hit rock bottom. Urban Meyer will be the coach of The Notre Dame Fighting Irish next year and I love it!!! Just like it used to be...The Irish on top of the Football world and the Wildcats ruling the basketball scene!

Not bad grades. I have heard that NDs requirements are much more stringent than say your average state school. The thought is that these requirements greatly reduce the recuiting pool. Thus limits the overall talent for athletics. I too am interested in what the exact requirements are at ND.

 

Out of the ESPN150 players Notre Dame can recruit about 20 of them.

^^How can you make those two posts back to back? How can Urban get his players and system in to South Bend if he can't recruit them?

I perused their website. I couldn't find minimum requirements. Interesting facts though. They had a little over 1900 frosh accepted. 50% had an ACT of 32-34 and were in the top 1-5% in their graduating class. 25% had higher numbers, while 25% had lower. I can't imagine the lower to be like an 18 on the ACT and a 2.0 GPA. What do you think?

There has to be a way to find this out. I recently heard that ND was approaching 80 thousand bucks a year. That would be a 400,000 dollar scholarship for a 5 year player.

There are 3 names and write this down: Meyer, Kelly or Gruden. If you want someone else, root for them to get one of the domino effect jobs. One of these three will be the coach in South Bend. My order is Meyer, Kelly then Gruden.

 

I'm not a Notre Dame fan, I just think Wanny would fit if they couldn't get Meyer or Kelly. I think they'll probably get Kelly if Charlie is fired, so it's presumaby a moot point for me.

I think Notre Dame runs about 40,000-50,000 a year.

It's no where near that much. Tuition is $38,477 and room and board will average another $10,368. Still an expensive school.

Since we are assuming in the other thread lets assume here that Meyer does take the ND job. How will his offense do in South Bend?

 

I don't watch many Florida games but maybe Spikes or Cats can help me out here. Say Jimmy stays and even if he didn't they would have Dayne Crist who is a big guy, and fast but he is more a pocket passer. How would Meyer use them? I think the recruit, Hendrix from Cincy, would look pretty good in Meyer's system.

 

How does Meyer use the TE? Rudolph will be there two more years and they have another big TE from Elder coming in too. Would Rudolph be used the same way or what?

The TE Hernandez is used a ton in Florida, I would imagine Urban could use Kyle a lot.
