I say zero chance Meyer goes to ND.

 

I would never say zero, but at this point we all know that the best talent will go to Florida, so in that regard, Meyer won't be deemed the best ever, unless he wins somewhere else. Now, if he were to go to Notre Dame and bring home a title, I truly feel he would then be in the likes of Bear Bryant.

When you restore the greatest program in College Football history back to the top of the College Football world it would be bigger than a NC at UF.

The job it would take to get them there would be tougher, but a title is a title.

Here is what you have to ask yourself about who ND goes after if they fire Front Butt. It's going to cost around 15 million to buy him out and another 15-20 million to bring in a big name. Will they be more likely to drop 30-35 million on BK or someone like Gruden or Meyer???

I think they will with any of those bigs names. Now if they did on anyone other than those three then I don't think it would be worth it.

I think they were just saying that ND is a bigger job than UF prestige wise. In which case, there is no argument.:thumb:

Good question, but I guarantee he would ask for it. Ask Tennessee and Washington...

Someone not really getting much press, but doing a heck of a job is Dave Wandstedt (sp?). He's an NFL guy, he can recruit extremely well and he's a great X's and O's coach. He wasn't very successful with the Dolphins, but that would be my choice if I couldn't get Urban Meyer or Brian Kelly.
