I'm not defending him, I was just suggesting. I think that it takes a special kind of coach to be able to be dominant in both the college and professional ranks. Obviously, he hasn't dominated in either.

I don't think Notre Dame can afford another bad coach. They need to bring in the guy now.

 

Whoever comes in though will be successful next year cause of how talented they will be.

Notre Dame and Pittsburgh are two completely different programs. Pittsburgh didn't have a tenth of the the talent that Notre Dame has had while both coaches have been at both schools.

 

I'll give you Fitz, but other than that, can you name me some top notch players from Pitt over the last decade or so? Apart from LeSean McCoy, H.B. Blades-not completely sure if Blades was recruited by Wanny or Walt Harris- and the others that Wannstedt has had. He's had to bring that program from the ground and done quite a good job. There aren't very many coaches that can step into a school like Pitt and start dominating from the outset.

And Darrelle Revis, he's had some good players, but like I said, I don't think many could have beaten West Virginia, Louisville, or Cincinnati-the last two or three seasons-in the Big East.

 

I think he's a very good coach, you may think I'm wrong, but to each his own.
