Gee, I hate to get off the "cheap shot artist"/"take him out" topic, but I must say that the 47 yard FG by HHS was unreal. Obviously wind-aid, but I would sincerely guess that kick would have been good from over 60 yards. Wind-aided or not, that young man has an impressive leg.

Just read thru the thread again, looks like a lot of Highlands fans talking about Late hits, bad calls, bad Ryle coaches so on and so on.

I'll let this go, but I don't mind a coach saying it either. I just thought it was more of the the pot calling the kettle black. :isurrender:

Regardless of what league your in, when the ball is thrown in the middle of the field both the WR and DB have an equal chance to go for it. I may be thinking about Sundays but neither kid was going to catch the ball regardless of the flower tap. But because Ryle was on O they get the call. So in theory it would have been the same if Highland was on O I guess.

I stand corrected. But the outcome was never in question.

 

I thought the game got very interesting at 24-14 and Ryle had momentum at that point. I'd be very surprised if you could find many HHS fans who thought the game was a lock at that point. Credit to HHS for answering Ryle's score and ending Ryle's momemtum and comeback hopes.

Ryle did play a good game and probably are wishing they would've played with that intensity against SK.

Good point. Both teams played with a high level of intensity. Ryle did have that one game vs SK where they did not bring it and it cost them. The Fennell kid played very well. Great to have good backups at a key position like TB. I'm very confident the Birds bring home another title.
