Let it go guys... I did not see any "dirty" plays from Ryle. There were a few sore plays but nothing dirty.

That's total garbage.. Hempel gave an extra shove when the kid was 3yds out of bounds. It happened right in front of me. The offensive pass interference I didn't see. Believe me the Birds usually don't get any favors from the refs..If you haven't noticed the Birds don't have to many friends out there..

 

I have played against Highlands, coached against them, and watched from the stands for many years. Highlands has just as many pushes, late hits, so on and so on.

Congrats to the Birds on a hard-fought victory. Ryle played well enough to beat most teams in the state, but the TO's and 4-5 big plays by the Birds were the difference. Can't see anyone coming close to Highlands as the cruise to another title.

 

Ryle did play a good game and probably are wishing they would've played with that intensity against SK.

They would (absolutely, 100%) NOT put out an order to the team to "take out" an opposing high school football player. That is inexcusable!

 

Putting out an order to the team to "take out" a player from another team?? That's funny!! What do you think this is, The Longest Yard? Pretty hard to target someone and take them out of a game, unless you have a team full of "Cheap Shot Artists." I don't think that HHS or Ryle operates like that.

He is saying that the Ryle coach was telling his players to take a kid out. Not that the kid was just a cheap shot artist. The point of telling your kids to take a kid out is "bush league"..PERIOD!!!

 

And for what seems like the hundreth time - the minister coach DID NOT tell Ryle players to take anyone out. It was apparently another coach. I am not defending that comment. The minister coach apparently called an HHS player a cheap shot artist. I simply don't have a problem with a coach making such a remark.
