I want to call out one of the Ryle coaches. The short one with short hair and a big mouth. He made it a point to yell at his players on the sideline to "take out number 29!" "If you get a chance to take him out, take out number 29!" You sir, are a moron.

 

I heard him too, he was calling him a cheap shot artist and to take him out. That was embarrassing to say the least, almost as embarrassing as the music that was playing during the game.

This game was billed as a chance to see how the teams have improved and changed over the season. So what's the verdict?

 

HHS played without their starting QB (I know he played RB, but it's not even remotely the same thing) and without their starting RB, both of whom are two of the better players in the state at their respective positions.

 

As far as I know, all major Ryle players who were there for the first game were there again last night. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This was my first time at Highlands. And it was great, I really enjoyed it. This was a defensive battle the first quarter. Then Highlands slowly began to take over this game until they finally did. Forgive me because I do not know names of players. All players played very well. But #11 of the birds had a very good defensive game back there in the secondary. And #31 for Highlands was great. Very shifty runningback changing his direction on a dime. And number #34 for Ryle was almost scary when he hit himself:scared:. He played very well, he REALLY wanted that upset.

Overall this was a great experience, and I will be attending again in the future.

We got pretty lucky with the rain. It really only effected the third quarter.

 

The best play of the night was the 50 yard pass to buten in the 2nd qtr.Buten had to leap for the pass to catch it. Then about at the 20 yard line he picked up a real nice block from #51 (name?) at about the 20 yard line.Then Buten starts to get tackled around the 5 yard line,then#86 (name?) for HHS holds Buten up and helps him into the endzone. If someone would like to post the names to these numbers ( 51 ,86 ) for HHS ,please do,they deserve to have their name mentioned. Great play!!!!!!!

Thank you!! Everyone in my section was mad about that comment. I think he is the same one, who at the first game we played them this season shouted out "we are going to kick their butt[/b]!" How classy is that?

Jacked isn't the word for it. Maybe this time people won't get on Ryan Ernst blog and criticize the HHS DB's. Too slow and can't hit....That's laughable!!!

Good point, maybe he was. To be quite honest this horse has been beaten on the thread so its safe to say we should move on.

 

Congrats to Highlands for finishing the regular season undefeated.

No more attacks on coaches or fans. Any more of that, and the thread will have to be closed.

Here's a thought for your boys. Maybe do what you did BEFORE blasting an outstanding man.

 

As I stated before, I was not the one who said it was the preacher. I gave a description of the coach and that was nothing like the preacher. I could name the coach now, but that would be pointless. He knows who he is and so do the Ryle faithful.

The players for both teams gave it their all and are to be congratulated. The Ryle sidelines did look like a Chinese fire drill at times. The decision to go for it on 4th and 13 on Ryles first possession was a bummer. A pooch kick or even a kick into the end zone is a much smarter choice and numerous statistics support the fact that the further you have to go,the less likely you are to score. There are not a lot of 3rd. and 13 plays that work vs Highlands.

Also, the music was opressively loud and continued while the game was underway. My congratulations to the guy with the big voice who shouted up to the press box to tell them to shut off the music.

There were 4 neutrals in our crowd and we agreed after the game that the refs did a fine job and had to make a number of very close calls. All of us thought the interception that was waved off hit the ground. Eliott needs to get under control and had the same problem the first time I saw him. He has a possible d-1 career facing him and he would not want to mess that up.

We have had a ton of violations in this thread. Feel free to start another thread and discuss the game. However, if there are any violations in the new thread we are probably going to suspend you. The personal attacks and the gambling comments will get you suspended.
