Birds #11 had at least 2 INT's. Another was waved off by refs, but shouldn't have been. Had another go right through his hands.

Ty Seidel took his INT away from 6-7 Tate Nichols. Ty is about 5' 6" (If that, sorry Ty) awesome play.

I want to call out one of the Ryle coaches. The short one with short hair and a big mouth. He made it a point to yell at his players on the sideline to "take out number 29!" "If you get a chance to take him out, take out number 29!" You sir, are a moron.

 

I was chastised the first game we played Ryle for pointing out his antics and was told he was a very nice guy, a preacher I believe. Though tonight I did not hear him say to take out any players he repeated many times that #29 for Highlands was a cheap shot artist.

 

All I have to say to you sir is that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I'm sure you've heard that one before.

 

You guys need to compare better notes. First off, the "preacher" to whom you refer is not short in the slightest, so it certainly wasn't him to whom WhoozYoDaddy is referring about taking someone out. Secondly, the "antics" to which bjim refers last game was him loudly cheering on his team early in the game, which bjim someone found upsetting. Wow. Really over the top. If you find such "antics" so offensive, you should spend Friday nights watching golf or a tennis match. And honestly, before you go taking shots about someone you really don't know in the slightest, you should meet the man. A very classy, sincere, good man who runs an impressive ministry. But since you two seem to know so much about him, please fill us all in.

And I think Ryle was the recipient of some horrible calls by the refs. The second half late hit penalty was a joke. You want to make that call, so be it, but let's make sure HHS gets the same call when they hit someone a yard out of bounds. And the offensive pass interference was utterly ridiculous.

 

Be clear that by no means am I claiming it affected the outcome of the game. The better team won. HHS is a terrific team. If Ryle played them ten times, we'd be lucky to win one. But it seems that playing at HHS' field generally means you end up on the short side of the penalty tally sheet.

A good, hard fought game. I started to say the offense seemed out of sync but then I thought about it. 31 points with the wind and rain playing without your top two players in their normal positions. I'll take that any day. Had a little trouble finding the handle on a few snaps but no real problems. I'll tell you that offensive line gave Towles all day to throw a few times. Good job dogs! I really expected 86 to be a bigger part of the offense, given the conditions but that shows how much I know.

Which late hit are you talking about where Hempel through Fennell to the telephone pole or Elliott taking Towels down 4 yards out of bounds on the Highlands sidelines?

So what? Maybe he saw something on the field that makes him believe #29 is a cheap shot artist. Then again, maybe he's wrong. But he's entitled to his opinion. I highly doubt that this man told any Ryle player to "take out" any HHS player. He's not that type of person and, unlike others in this thread, I know him very well.
