Well I am going to show up at your office and claim the business owes me a $100.:D

I had something similar happen at a McDonald's 2 years ago. I started to have a meltdown, but instead dialed the police and told them I wanted to report a theft at the McDonald's. The officer showed up. I presented my food and compared with my receipt, and the assistant manager was told that if they did not return my money or present me with the proper order, she would be arrested for theft. The proper order was made.

THIS is why people sue businesses. When there is no more consideration for the customer, then there is no more consideration for the business.

Wow! I wish I had the cajones to do that! That is simply awesome!

You did not deserve to be treated that way. I would call or email corporate. I worked at McD's when I was 15 and anytime someone complained the mangers would offer them food, money back, anything... they know there one of the biggest chains out there and want the people coming back.

I am one of the "you will get this right and I will go over your head to make sure it is done correct" kind of person, I'll call and ask for supervisors when needed, I'll argue until I'm blue in the face, but I have never had the idea you listed above. Wow, that was all kinds of awesome.

Thank God I've never witnessed it....well, maybe once.
I've seen it once ....

You should have went Sinbad on them

Talk to corporate, I always do this whenever I have a problem with anything. Thats why they have customer service. In most cases, I have been reimbersed and given an apology. In fact once at a movie theater I complained about people talking and the staff not doing anything about it when I complained to them, and I recieved 4 free movie passes from corporate.

I would call corporate RM. Maybe they will give you a coupon for a free hot chocolate.:lol::lol:

Ok fuel has been added to the fire...I gotta go! :walk::walk::walk:

I can't believe how furious I got. I'm not talking just frustrated, I was FURIOUS!

Which Mac D's was it? I will begin a boycott today.

You all wait until the sequel. "Rockmom punches pizza delivery boy."

 I've watched my boss do things where I just shake my head. One thing I've learned from him and her, is that a good decision will stand the test of time. I've been with the company for 21 years.

Make sure you bring the proper ducumentation. :D

Tell them besides the rudeness the hot chocolate was way to hot and you spilled it on yourself. So you've decided to seek counsel and sue !! :thumb:

I did throw it really hard down into the garbage can outside the store.

You're too nice RM.:taz:

After the way you were treated I believe the McDonald's crew would have been cleaning some chocolate from the floor. And I'd still call their corporation headquarters. May not amount to much but you can vent some to them.

The way I would have handled this as The Manager...

I would have said get over it and don't come back...:eyeonyou:

Just Joking...:lol::lol::lol:

I would have just said OK.. I'm sorry about that...So I owe you a soft drink and a large Hot Chocolate! Here you go and Once again I apologize about that...Have a nice day and come back!

Problem Solved...Move on...:thumb:

BTW I do Manage a Restaurant, and I'm not perfect but I'm going to do what ever it takes to take care of my Customers...
