As for the people commending Highlands defense, which they rightfully deserve. St. X defense deserves credit as well. They buckled down and made key stops in the red zone multiple times and kept the game within reach for their team. St. X offense is bland, boring, and couldn't do much of anything, hence HHS being the better team tonight. Their offense was better. This was a defensive battle.

Wow!!!! I was soooo far off....again. I'm done w/ predictions. Highlands DOMINATED this game. If you turn the ball over 4 times vs. a GCL school, you lose by 40...unless you are a better team. Just wow! This was a no doubter. No flukes, no sikes

Call it what you want, but Highlands beat St X in every phase of the game tonight. Highlands executed and St X didn't. Tip of the cap to the Highlands coaches, they had the Birds prepared and made adjustments when needed.

Yes, that X defense was everything it was advertised. Birds earned every single yard they gained. Some big time hits made by both defenses. I'll take that kind of game over a shootout every time.

I don't want to single out any defensive player in this team win, but some of those sacks and hits by Roller were just jaw-dropping.
