Wow... just finished watching it. X did not show up... Highlands came out with a boat load of confidence and controlled the entire game...... I did think X was going to win but I could not pick St X in the poll, didn't pick either team.

 

Hope Bardo is ok... that could be a big problem if he's note. He was the difference in the game!

 

Congrats to Highlands the BEST team in KY and one of the best in the nation!

If St. X wouldn't of had to punt as mush it could have been 42-12.

 

I know the point your making here. However it very easily could have been 33 to 7. The game honestly was not as close as the final score showed. Highlands shut down St. X all night, and as someone said drove the ball within the 5 yard line 5 times. Two of the times they ended up fumbling, so Highlands mistakes in the red zone is what made this game closer than what it should have been. Highlands was definitely the better team tonight.

When I saw Cameron Dierig #53 line up against #78 from X I thought he was a lamb being led to the slaughter. Turned out he was an awesome tiger.

I just got in and started the game on my TiVO and logged onto BGP to check out scores and the first one I see is this thread.

How about Bardo vs Massa? Bardo won this game for the Birds... well so did there amazing defensive team speed. Massa will develop into a nice pocket QB but Bardo should be getting much much more attention than he is. He can run and throw.

I have been watching high school football for a long time... Highlands stepped on that field tonight and said we are NOT losing. It showed in every aspect of the game. As crazy as it sounds... at about 6:00 PM tonight I do not think X had a chance... Highlands gave away two fumbles on the goal line. I guarantee you there are some huge parties in the Fort tonight!

Call it what you want, but Highlands beat St X in every phase of the game tonight. Highlands executed and St X didn't. Tip of the cap to the Highlands coaches, they had the Birds prepared and made adjustments when needed.
