Just like "UL dominated the game" makes you sleep better.

Although this game was very ugly and it does not make me optimistic about the rest of the season. Dont you think its a significant sign of a program turning around. Around 5 years ago UK loses this game 5 times out of 5 in the same situation. Good teams have bad games and still find a way to win. I'm not saying UK is a good team this year, but I see this as a sign of UK finding a way to win football games when their backs are against the wall.

Really its kinda a rival thing. Just like at any level in any competition. Seems like 90% of the time when big time rivals meet it is going to be a good game no matter the predicted outcome.

I'm just relieve that the Cats hung on for the win.whew!!!!!

If they dominated the game, and made fewer mistakes than UK, then I'm really confused how UK won.

Should have been 34-27 but the clock management was horrible

I was not looking forward to this game whatsoever but I came away pretty pleased. Both teams need to cut back on the mental errors but I like where UofL is right now. I like our chances a heck of a lot better in the Big East than I do for UK in the SEC. UofL has light at the end of the tunnel now, I didn't see it after the first game.

I liked the way the Cards attacked Trevard Lindley all day long and exposed him on several plays. Trevard did not play well yesterday.

However, UofL has got to get better edge blocking out of their wide receivers. Right now, they flat out suck.

And so well coached...

RockPride has been waiting for a chance to sing Krags praises, IMO he picked the wrong time to do it. We all seen the game and it's clear to me that a well coached UL team would have most likely won yesterday, and very few people outside some UL fans would say he coached a good game. The fourth down calls were enough evidence for most, time management provided the conviction… Guilty as charged…

One thing that amazes me is that everyone learned so much about both teams from a rivalry game, folk’s games like this aren't great barometers for gauging how good a team is. As far as I’m concerned we don’t know anything more than we did on Friday. Most people should know that...

I expected a lot more from Trevard. I was most disappointed with Micah Johnson, he made some big plays, but, he was way out of position on some big UL runs.

Amen.

My game observations:

Many "could haves" and "should haves" in this one. Both teams had many oportunities-sounds like college football

The last 15 seconds of the first half was simply bizarre. When it comes to UK football, when you think you have seen it all, think again.

Burke was a warrior for UofL-what an effort, he left it all on the field

Locke is becoming a big time player, he makes plays.

Cobb is supurb, not sure why we didn't see a little more of the Wildcat-I especially thought he should have been QB when we were running clock and forcing UL to use timeouts. One first down and game was over. Hartline wasn't going to throw so why not have a Locke/Cobb dual threat.

I wish Victor Anderson was in Blue, I really like him

Hats of the Seiber, kickoffs were deeper and his PAT's has better evevation

Great effort by Louisville, they never quit and showed a lot of heart

I went to the game. I felt like UK would see UofL's best shot. Program on the line, jobs on the line, rivalry etc. Burkes scrambling kept them in the game. They missed some opportunities and could have won. The dropped punt was the nail in the coffin. UK misses Pryor and Jarmon. Locke had a huge game. I really think UK might have run them out of the stadium had they not got shafted by their own clock guy at the half. Amazing! Hated the speed option calls for both teams! Thought Vic Anderson should have gotten the ball more and FOR THE LIFE OF ME GET COBB THE ROCK! He is one of the best players in the country! I don't care if it's Wildcat, full time QB, screens, quick game, down the field or reverses they have got to get the ball in his hands more! He is electric!

Congrats to the Cats 2-0! Hated to see Coach Sanders go down with an injury too. Quality guy my friends on the inside say!

Go look at my posts in the prediction thread then come talk to me. I was one of the very few who said this game will be very close. Thank me very little.

I looked at your post that I quoted....so you said it was close, and you said it would be a blowout? I guess that's one way to make sure you aren't wrong.....hahaha

Hew coached a tremendous game yesterday. Did he make mistakes? Sure....but he also made some brilliant calls.....the screen to Powell, the pass to Vic that was barely out of bounds, the bomb to Trent....he put the team in awesome position to win, and it just didn't happen. I am very proud to be a Card fan today, and like where this ship is going.
