I really disagree with that. I mean I am sure we will keep seeing that replay many of times. So just really pay attention to whats going on in that play. Marshall was past Leon Hall, and it took Hall jumping as high as he possibly could to even tip it. If he doesn't tip and are safety's just kind of stayed back like you all say they should, then Marshall catches that ball and gets out of bounds, and they are in great shape to get in field goal range. Its not like Denver was needing a touchdown to win, a field goal wins it for them and if he catches that then they are in great shape. I mean he didn't like anyone get behind him he saw the ball thrown and came up to make a play to try to make sure he didn't catch it. I mean people would be mad if he didn't come up and just let him catch if Leon Hall didn't tip it. It just comes down to it was just horrible luck all the way around for the Bengals there.

You're older than I, but I share the same sentiment. I am & always will be a Bengals fan, but it is so frustrating & can be brutal to watch.

In most top-level soccer leagues, you have to win to stay in the league. The bottom 3 teams or so are relegated to a lower level league for the next season. I'm not hating on the Bengals but they are definitely one of the bottom feeders year-in and year-out. I don't follow them closely enough to know what the major problems are, but if you have one winning season a decade, then something is wrong.

Correction it was the divisional playoff win against Seattle that was on Dec. 31. Buffalo was the following week. I must have killed a brain cell or two in that span of time:D

I guess that's my point. And maybe it has to do with me moving up here right in the midst of that season, but ONE winning season and the entire organization is stellar, and now they lose one game on a freak ending, and people are calling it already. I don't know, all I've seen since I've moved here is how negative the fans are in Cincinnati. Just my perception, I mean I'm sure the people who've lived here forever don't think so.

 

I am not sure if any of us thought that the organization was stellar. It was just that they seemed to make fewer boneheaded mistakes that season. They still had the looming specter of Mike Brown to eventually play a hand in bringing them back down. I think most of us that had been around a while had just hoped that they could do something good before that happened.
