If he has his head on reasonably straight - and it appears as though he's made some steps in the right direction there - he should be on the field on almost every passing down. The man does indeed have a ton of physical talent.

Then cut the man once and for all and be done with him. Either put him on the field or he's just taking up space. To keep him around because of his potential talent, but waiting for the day he qualifies as a choir boy, has become extremely tiresome.

Wasn't he nursing a hamstring or something before this game? Maybe he hadn't been practicing and hadn't been there for the instilation of this weeks package so they felt Caldwell was a better fit for this week?

He lacks the cahones to go across the middle. Something TJ did very, very well.

Well someone's got to do it. It won't be alligator arms Ocho and Coles - even if he were that type of WR - apparently couldn't catch it anyways. TJ's ability to go over the middle was what made the Bengal's passing game so effective.

When that play was over and I saw the replay I said Roy Williams is an idiot. I was just listening to Herm Edwards and I'll trust him on blaming Roy Williams. He said in that type of zone his job is to play the ball not the receiver. If he says it I'll believe it.

Great decision by Roy Williams to head hunt on the play instead of keeping their receivers in front of him. He couldn't guard the Newport Bridge if he had to, of course, playing defense has never been his strong suit.

 

I know I also saw 42 up in the middle of that play. Basic grade school football at that point. 2 Safeties 40 yds deep. "No one gets behind you!"

 

Obviously they were in a zone, and if you watch the play you actually see that Marshall had a few steps on Leon Hall. So I mean if you a safety and you see your corner beat and the ball going to that receiver, your going to try to go over there and make a play and make the guy miss it. I mean it took Hall to probably just as high as he probably could just to tip that ball, so if he doesn't tip that ball and the safety is coming up to the receiver hard. Then Marshall catches that ball and gets out of bounds, and Denver is then in great possession to get in field goal range with still one time out left. I mean I was mad at Roy Williams at first to, but if you see that replay and actually watch the situation, then Williams did the right thing going at the receiver because Marshall was past Hall, so there was an opening there for a pass.

 

It just comes down to that play was just all luck, a fluke, and just a miracle. There is nothing else to say about it.

I just think it is more that Lewis is still holding a grudge against him from the past and then having to sign him back on the team when he didn't want to. Lewis needs to get over it though, if he is going to be on the team. Then they need to use him more because he will help the team win games.

It's not funny. Cincinnati has some of the worst fans. True. I've lived plenty of places and have plenty of basis to make this statement.

 

And I get it, walks like a duck etc etc. I get it's poorly ran. I get they need major changes. But it IS the biggest bunch of fair weather fans. In 2005 all I heard was how amazing this team was, and how awesome the Bengals were, how great CP was and Johnson etc and the organization was on the up. And now..lol.

 

And for the record, CP has seen his best days. He just isn't that great of a QB. Face it people. He isn't bad, he isn't good..he's middle of the road. And he's injury prone.

Ol' 85 did short arm the ball when he saw UK's Wesley Woodyard coming hard for that deflected pass.
