Broncos 12 Bengals 7

Featured Replies

For some odd and strange reason I think the Bengals bounce back next week against the Pack. Don't ask me why I think this for some reason I do. Before anyone asks how much have I had to drink with this comment. The answer is 0. LOL

I agree with you 100%.

Glad someone agrees with me. NEW SLOGAN IN BENGALDOM!

Grill the Brat!

At Green Bay

Pittsburgh at home

At Baltimore

Where do you see 2 wins in there? I'd say the odds are much greater that they start 0-4 than even 1-3. 2-2 is simply a pipe dream.

Obviously it's going to to hard but that's why he said if they can manage 2-2. Maybe GB and Baltimore.

Its the NFL any team can beat any team on any given day. Yeah it won't be easy, however this team definitely can go 2 and 2 after the four games. I really do think they beat Baltimore. It just comes down to if they can steal one from Green Bay or if they can find away to beat Pittsburgh. I mean yeah it sucks that they lost today, but I actually liked some of the things I saw today. The defense I think is going to continue to keep the team in games. Now for the offense I think that they would be real good if they had a new OC, however even with Brat running the show they showed some signs of life. They shot themselves in the foot more than anything today, and should have scored a few times especially in the first half. This team is plenty capable of winning 2 of the next three.

The Bengals need to dump Bratkowski IMO. I've thought this for a while and today just reinforced it. I know we had quite a few drops and a bad snap, but c'mon. 7 points against the 2009 Broncos? I just think he goes too vanilla. In the 1st quarter he streched the field on a few plays, ran a reverse, and spread out the D that opened up holes and the middle of the field.

Then in quarters 2 and 3 he goes to a vanilla game plan and just lines up and tries to run the ball over and over to force Carson into some unreal and very predictable passing downs. It's hard for Carson to throw when it's 3-9 and they are dropping 8.

Then that 4th quarter drive presents itself and he's forced due to time to spread out the field which opens running holes and payed off. He was also forced to stretch the field where Chad and his quickness are in it's best. Maybe this team is just best in that spread it out, stretch the field type of offense?

I hate to start this argument so early, but Brat adjust to how these guys play or get out of town!

I agree with you 100%.

You all are a little late, I have been saying on here for the last few seasons that they needed a new OC. I am glad you two are joining the club. :thumb:

Me too, but I've only been on here for 6 months.:thumb:

C'mon now, you know better than that. Let's put it this way. If you put those next 3 games up in the sports betting thread, who are you taking straight up?

Because of how bad the Broncos defense is...

Sure they acquired Brian Dawkins and still have Champ Bailey but who else do they have on that team who is stout?

DJ Williams, Elvis Dumervil, Wesley Woodyard are pretty stout D players, Denver's defense will be good this season.

What does that have to do with anything? He said if they can manage to be 2-2 which would obviously mean playing a lot better than they did today. Obviously all those teams are better right now. I've seen crazier happen. Like today.

You liked some of the things you saw today? The Broncos will be one of the worst teams in the league this season. They were on the road, with a dead awful quarterback in Orton in charge yet they won. They have an awful defense and how many points did the Bengals put up? First off, THEY ARE NOT beating Pittsurgh, and why do you think they can beat the Ravens on the road? Give me a good reason and I'll listen. It ain't happening, so that leaves them having one shot at a win at Green Bay who is all over the Bears tonight. I'm not sold on the Packers so I'll give them a shot in that one. Either way the Bengals will not win over 6 games this season. They are awful.

I've been saying it for a while too. The Bengals are the only team in the NFL that has their receivers running 5 yard routes on 3rd and 7. They do it constantly. There are too many weapons on offense for them not to score points.

And what in the world were the safeties thinking on that last play? They're both out there head hunting. Hall made a good play, IMO, and they didn't even look at the ball. Pathetic. Williams is a vet, and should know better. :madman:

Then to quote Lloyd Christmas, "So you're telling me there's a chance."

So c'mon tell me, if you were betting straight up in the next 3 games. How many times would you bet on the Bengals?

I'm not even the one who said it. That's not even relevant anyway. Obviously I wouldn't take the Bengals.

All I can do is laugh. I sold my season tickets at the beginning of last year. It was the best thing I ever did. I didn't have to sit over there and watch that mess and I saved all of that money. This team will never change until there is change at the top (Mike Brown). He got what he wanted though, a sell out.

:lol: That's what I thought. I wish the Cincy pro teams are better since they are a closer drive than the others. However, tonight the Bengals were eliminated from playoff contention after only one game. Everyone knows it and there's no sense ignoring it. They're done.
