I think both these teams are still very improved. I liked the way the Irish offense played.

Amazing week of college football! I sat and flipped back and forth between this game and UT v UCLA and I was amazed. 2 great games!! Now Im sitting watching an OSU v USC halftime tie.....great day for a football fan!! Oh yeah, I couldnt understand the 2 passes by ND either!!!

Heck of a game. I'm an Irish fan through and through but this game was pretty outstanding.

 

I don't like Michigan but I'm glad to see them back on the rise.

 

Both QB's impressed me tremendously today especially Forcier - the boy can play. He did what he had to do to get the W.

 

That being said... someone needs to give Charlie a lesson in clock management. ND should be 2-0 but hats off to Michigan for a great effort.

Michigan outplayed Notre Dame today and deserved the win, but the Irish sure didn't make it very hard on them with all the stupid penalties.

 

Irish defense hasn't improved as much as I hoped it might have after the opener, but it is better than last year and most of these guys are underclassman and starting for the first time, so hopefully they can improve as the season progresses.

 

The Irish offense looked great, except for the abysmal 3rd quarter. Hopefully the injury to Floyd is nothing serious, losing him would be huge.

 

Very disappointed in Armando Allen's taunting penalty after the 2 pt. conversion. Show some class and act like you've been there before.

 

Weis needs to step up and accept the blame for the poor clock management. I can live with the one thrown downfield if he though he had a mismatch, but you can't throw twice and allow them to keep all of their time outs.

 

Looks, like Rich Rod may have the Maize and Blue turned around much faster than anyone thought coming into the season. That team in Columbus may actually have some real in conference competition in the very near future.

 

One good thing about the loss is that we will no longer have to hear Lou Holtz proclaiming an appearance in the National Championship game. Even as a die hard Irish fan that was pretty irritating.

 

I still think that 9-3 is a realistic expectation, anything less than 8 wins would be extremely disappointing. Looking at the schedule, Michigan could very well turn out to be the second best opponent.

 

Disappointing loss, probably wouldn''t have matter but sure would have liked those 2 extra seconds to let Jimmy throw one up for grabs in the end zone. On to Michigan State.

To repeat myself ND is very good. I think they win 9 or 10 games. UM will not face a better offense. They have by far the best recieving core in the country. If they play 10xs ND wins 7 of them. Great win for Michigan. If everyone in AA stays out of RR's way he will have them back next year!
