Beechwood was just named the #1 high school in the state based on this year's ACT scores. There is ZERO reason for a student to choose another high school over Beechwood for academic reasons. As to the other opportunities you mention for boys soccer, track, etc., that is a valid point and I would not fault a Ft. Mitchell kid for going to Highlands for those reasons. Beechwood lost a very good freshman athlete this year that is going to Moeller because of wrestling and we wish him great success in that. Highlands is also one of the top 5 high schools in the state academically and is right there with Beechwood academically, but I would argue they are not better than Beechwood academically.

I think I share your sentiments Arrupster. The whole world? I think that may be stretching it a bit, and I think both of these high schools have many great academic programs in place to help out even those children that have special needs. My cousin was one of them at Beechwood.:thumb:

Also, I am sure you all have heard about the parking shortage due to the elementary construction. For Bluebird fans looking for a tailgating spot, I recommend parking at Beechwood swim club, about 2 large city blocks down from the school. Plenty of room there to park and tail gate away.

I was just told tonight at pregame the game was moved back to 700. Can someone in the know give the correct time. Recieved a e-mail yesterday saying the game was at 700.

Yeah well someone is getting some bad information. The foundation club, sent an email out this morning saying the game is at 7 p.m. They wanted to clear up any confusion from the past couple of weeks since the game has been moved from Thurs night at Beechwood to Fri night at Nippert and then back to Beechwood on Fri. They made a very clear point in the email saying the game was at 7 p.m....Just Asking!!!!!:idunno:

The printed schedule cards say 7:00 PM, for what that's worth. :idunno:

If you are getting that information tonight about the time changing to 7:00, then maybe it is accurate. My Beechwood schedule says 7:30 and all of Beechwood's home games are listed on the schedule as 7:30 start. I haven't heard anything different. I wish I would have heard about this earlier tonight. I would have asked the AD at the Beechwood freshman game. So I dunno either now.

Just to add to the confusion: The KHSAA lists the game as 7:30. :ohbrother:

 

I'd say, show up assuming a 7 PM start, and if you have to sit a half hour--well, at least you will have beat the crowd. :idunno:
