Wow. I never thought that would be the outcome. Good news for Dixie. Although Beechwood is still a major force for any 1A school, but i think there may be a team or two that if they have amazing games and Beechwood doesn't play well, they could be beat. Not likely to happen, just a slight possibility.

It would be interesting to see how many years you would have to go back for Beechwood and NCC to both lose on the same day.

 

Wait till about week 4 and check the records of Beechwood and NCC. It is possible they could both still be winless then. They both lost a lot and they are playing killer schedules.

What a big game for Dixie next week,at SK !!!

Very nice game for Dixie. They were as good as I expected and then some. Beechwood is going to struggle against teams with size. We saw that in the scrimmages against Boone and Conner and we saw it even more today. Dixie controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball to the extent they really didn't need to pass the ball. Wilson did throw a few nice passes and his stats will look good because of a couple good yards after reception plays. But this game was won up front.

 

Based on what I have seen the past three weeks in scrimmages and today, Dixie is better than Boone County and better than Conner. They may be the second best team in N. Ky.

 

Did you guys forget that:confused: Ryle killed Dixie in a game simulated scrimmage about two weeks ago..

Come on Coach, I value your opinion, but when was the last time Beechwood was beaten by 40 points, by anyone?

Agreed, however, none of the players on this Bwood team have ever had to endure what happened today and what will probably happen to them Friday. It will be a true test mentally for these kids as well as the obvious physical challenges they are facing right now. In most years Bwood could play with anyone in NKY, this year that is not the case. JMO...but do they have the right QB playing. I thought the younger Colosimo kid did a nice job and threw a much better ball, maybe they could move the QB to the slot and take advantage of both talents, just a thought. I am sure Coach Rash will evaluate everything after this one today.

I am not sure when Beechwood was beaten 40 points. But losing 40 to Dixie is not the same as playing a class A team.

Seems like I was a tad bit shy of my prediction I made in the Dixie / Beechwood predictions

I figured Dixie heights would punish The Tigers.......but this is nothing too serious because Beechwood usually takes the big beatings to improve their team to be the #1 team in Class A.

Dixie dominated, no question about that. Very tough loss for Beechwood. They had several opportunities to take advantage of.. but still did not.

Over threw a wide open Colosimo by about 10 yards on the first play from scrimmage. It went down hill from there. Last year BW had the horses to overcome this type of QB play. This year is different, they need to complete some passes to help the running game with a young and smaller line.

 

Great game by Dixie. Congrats. They dominated the line of scrimmage. I have never seen so many pancake blocks.

Don't under estimate Beechwood, remember Dixie has 10 player's on Offense/Defense returning. I saw several Sophomore's play for Beechwood. There is no Class A team in the state of Ky that could have beaten Dixie today. Beechwood is very young and may take their licks this year against the schedule they have early on. Once in the District and Class A opponent's they will compete. Congrats to Dixie's Coaching Staff and Player's for a very good game plan and game. Beechwood will rebound and have a great season they have a very talented and gifted team. JD
