For the game, Dixie Heights outgained Beechwood 500 yards to 276. Wilson ran for 99 yards. He was also 11-of-15 passing for 165 yards, no interceptions and two touchdowns. Klei ran 18 times for 141 yards. Dixie Heights forced four turnovers.

Beechwood will be fine and very dominate in Class A football.

Agreed, however, none of the players on this Bwood team have ever had to endure what happened today and what will probably happen to them Friday. It will be a true test mentally for these kids as well as the obvious physical challenges they are facing right now. In most years Bwood could play with anyone in NKY, this year that is not the case. JMO...but do they have the right QB playing. I thought the younger Colosimo kid did a nice job and threw a much better ball, maybe they could move the QB to the slot and take advantage of both talents, just a thought. I am sure Coach Rash will evaluate everything after this one today.

 

Honestly, both QB's had terrible games throwing the ball. The fact is Rigdon's value is in his running more than his passing. Beechwood likes a QB who can run. And that becomes even more important if this offensive line doesn't get it together. Colosimo is probably a little more accurate as a passer but he didn't help himself today throwing the ball. And he is a reluctant runner at QB, although he did have a very nice run to set up the one TD for Beechwood (against the "B" team for Dixie). Plus you are putting an inexperienced QB on the field if you go with Colosimo. I think there are other options available that Beechwood will look at first. Rash and his staff will continue to make adjustments in personnel and game plans until they get it working.

 

As stated above, it is going to be a tough 4 week learning phase to start the season but Beechwood will be fine in district play and into the first round or so of the playoffs. Then it becomes a matchup question.

:thumb: Welcome to BGP Solomon. Glad to see you picked up on Govnah so quickly. He does have a history of these type of outrageous comments so take it with a grain of salt.

Beechwood is still one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the State Class A.

VOICE OF REASON.....Rigdon is just an average passer, but yesterday he was far, far below that. He missed people that were wide open and he made extremely poor decisions. He made some very excellent passes vs Dixie last year to receivers who were fairly well covered. He will have to bounce back and next week will not be the time for that to happen.

I can't agree with you concerning the Dixie Quarterback. I thought he threaded the needle all day and the same receivers who dropped everything last week, caught everything this week and they knew what to do with it after the catch.

Does anyone know how many penalties were called vs Dixie and for what total yardage? Dixie overcame many penalties which would normally become drive stoppers and they stopped Beechwood after the many defensive penalties. This only emphasizes the total domination that Dixie displayed.

As I have said several other times in other threads, please do not link any comments by Govnah with Beechwood's fans. He does not speak for 99.99% of us. I have sent him PM's on his comments in the past...obviously to no avail. Every team has it's nuckleheads. I think Beechwood has far fewer than most.
