I'm going with Boyle in this one(of course). I think it will take JC 2 quarters to even realize what McShara is about, and if/when they do, Cook, Dawson, Goldsmith & company will make them pay elswhere. I can't wait till Friday!!! Let's Go Rebels

After watching the Rebels scrimmage MC. I don't think there will be that many team that will be able to run on the Rebs again this year. But, if someone can pass, I think that is where we might have trouble. In the scrimmage we let alot of receivers behind us. If improve in pass defense then the will be only the injury factor. Offense should be ok going by the scrimmage. And Reese in the real deal, fast and can cut on a dime.

I'll take Johnson Central 28-21 in this one... What people don't understand is that Johnson Central no longer rebuilds, they just replug people back in... lol

Someone asked about JC's line? They will be above average for HS and much bigger than Boyle. But that is not what their offense is about. They typically take advantage of fast agressive defense ala HHS with the Belly option. They will leave your DL unblocked and go to the 2nd level. Hester and French have seen it before and will be fine.

 

Boyle will win but it will be a dandy.

Who doesn't understand that about Johnson Central? I think we all familiar with "no longer rebuilding and just replugging people back in......."

I think what he is saying Benz is the "Belly option" is where they stick the ball in the belly of the running back while at the same time the quarterback still has his hands on the ball. The quarterback has the option to either let him keep the ball or pull it back out and go to option 2 depending on what the d is doing. The O lineman go straight to the linebackers to block and leave the DL wondering what just happened. Before they know the runningback is gone. I think this is what he is saying, or this is my best guess.

Those are very basic football terms. You may want to get some DVD's to help you along the way.

Yep.

I feel this game will be a huge measuring stick as to where JC is and will go along way in determining what kind of season we will have. The Eagles have there backs against the wall being on the road against a top notch 4A team with just one scrimmage under there belt against a team that is subpar at best.

Is this a home and home series with Johnson Central? I've herd they have a top notch field and would very much like to view it in person next year.
