  1. Im really surprised that the coach's just didn't ask that their be no limitations on practice. I say that we just stop Basketball Season, and Baseball Season, and lets only have year round football... It just seems to me like football coach's wine and cry more then any other high school coach's.
  2. I didn't expect this at all... Lone Oak is playing very well... Really sounds like thier offense is clicking or the Boyle D hasn't came to play.
  3. If Lone Oak scores again this could be killer for Boyle to overcome.
  4. In my opinion the problem with putting 9 in the box is that the offense that JC runs, is based on numbers. The dive option, midline option, and belly option blocking schemes all rely on out numbering the defense. If you put 9 in the box then you are going to get no back side pursuit and I believe that it would just hurt the blue bird d. In my opinion, the best way to stop a good running game is to play your normal D, wrap up the runners and play your assignments. You bend, but you don't break.
  5. I think that JC beats CC by 2 scores. You cant look at what happened in the second half of the Scott game because JCHS played many of their replacements during that half. Any team in 5A with their number 1's in should have no problem scoring on another teams number 2. Its that simple.
  6. If JC come to play and doesn't shoot them selves in the foot this game won't be as close as people are thinking. JC really has the opportunity to catch Belfry in a down year compared to the usual big strong run the ball straight up the gut Belfry we are all used to... JC had what 8 turnovers against SC and got beat 1 score. If they had held on to the ball that game would have been a win because SC couldn't stop them on offense. Same with the out of state team. I still think that they loose to Bell and Boyle though. We will all find out very shortly about 7 hours until kick off.
  7. If JC continues to hold onto the ball then they will win this game by a touchdown or two.
  8. JC by 3 plus scores... Matney has finally righted the turn over problem at JC and they are gonna be hard to beat if they continue to play fumble free football.
  9. I hope JC wins but if they don't stop fumbling the football it won't matter how down Mboro is. JC has been beating them selves.
  10. Yea but things that the school has bought such as balls, bats, cages. etc. to my understanding shouldn't be used.
  11. He can be there... He just cant instruct nor can he run the practice but he can observe. However, really they shouldn't be using anything that the school bought while practicing. Really they shouldn't even be using the high school field to practice. My team practices at our little league fields and uses their equipment and balls, however I am there to watch. Also, like I said I am the one who does our weights and conditioning.
  12. Thats is understood like I said I'm not trying to argue about the score they definitely got beat. However, its a heck of a lot harder to score when you have to go further then 35 yards. Also, the amount of rushing yards would have increased had they not turned the ball over time, after time, after time. Its quite simple, this should have been a closer game but Boyle was simply the better team. There is no dispute to that.
  13. As for the remarks made about not wanting to reschedule next year... He was just frustrated at his kids for the turnovers... He has no plans of not rescheduling these same teams... Thats a bunch of baloney... to much was read into it when he was talking while he was mad at his kids. We all say stupid things when we are frustrated.
  14. Im not in Johnson but my family is. There is nothing going on in Johnson. They will be fine. What has happened is their starting QB is struggling making the reads and the backs aren't holding on to the football. Again I say they will be fine. They will be without a few kids this week which will hamper them. However, by week 10 I think that they will be ready to make a run in the playoffs. I think that the biggest problem is not the schedule! Its the fact that they set the schedule up the way they did... I think that they would have faired better had they had a win or two to start the season to kinda iron out the wrinkles before the bigger games. Any way, they are a work in progress and will be fine. The thing that has killed them in both games that no one seems to want to touch on is that in the Boyle game, Boyle scored 6 times (I think it was 6) starting on the 35 headed into the end zone. Then last week against the Michigan team, they had around 500 yards of offense but fumbled numerous times. Matney will get the turnovers ironed out and they will be a hard team to beat come playoffs...
  15. The thing that I like the least about our class system is that so many districts only have 4 teams. I feel that the playoffs are for the 4 best teams in the district. For the districts that only have 4 teams why even play... Just pull straws for seeds...
