August 12, 200917 yr His court case isn't blown at all. Sypher will still be going to jail for a very long time... I don't think the court case is blown either. Pitino will win that imo but like said earlier ..............he flat loses in any and every other category (credibiltiy, morality, honesty, class, high profile representative of a major university, etc.).....and deserves to. I think that if he stays at U.L. at best it would be a tough sell for him to get any recruit from a strong pro life family. After all, they can call it what they want but he paid for this womans killing a baby.
August 12, 200917 yr It still doesn't make it ANYONE's business.....I do agree that he should be held to a higher standard, but it's still no one's business. When it comes out on the news and every other media outlet in the free world :ohbrother:that would make it hard (no pun intended to Pitino ) for it to remain no ones business.
August 12, 200917 yr I think a lot of it has to do with him paying her off for an abortion. Once again, we have to look at the facts. She WANTED an abortion and SHE came up with the figure for him to give her for the abortion. He didn't pay her off to get an abortion.
August 12, 200917 yr Alan Cutler just reported that Pitino's lawyer says the $3,000 was for "medical insurance" and not an abortion. Cutler would be wrong. According to the police report linked by SSF Pitino said he gave her $3000 for an abortion.
August 12, 200917 yr Why is everyone acting so shocked and surprisingly disgusted by this. He's been getting bashed for his ways for years now and it doesn't change the case against Sypher. It has become so public and very damaging against him and ultimately it makes the university look bad.
August 12, 200917 yr I wonder why she had her procedure in Cincinnati when he already has an account at the Cleveland clinic? There was one story that he went to Clevelnad Clinic to figure out why vasectomy didnt take...dont know timeline bit that was one story floating.
August 12, 200917 yr Can you find out if your pregnant at 2 weeks? No, two weeks after ovulation you are technically 4 weeks pregnant. It is kind of complicated, but pregnancy is measured from the first day of your last period, so 2 weeks would be pretty much right at conception. Does that make sense?
August 12, 200917 yr Cutler would be wrong. According to the police report linked by SSF Pitino said he gave her $3000 for an abortion. No that isn't what it said. It said "She told him she was going to have an abortion, and stated she didn't have health insurance. He asked how much it would cost. She gave him the figure of $3,000, which he gave to her". "It" could be referring to health insurance or the abortion itself. And depending on the mindset of Pitino the money might have simply been "go away" money if he didn't believe her story.

And depending on the mindset of Pitino the money might have simply been "go away" money if he didn't believe her story. Ok, I'm going back to this again. Is it even possible that Tim Sypher met her when she came to pick up the abortion money and then married her shortly after? This is from KY Sports Radio and it's classic: Now we come to the real loser in all of this, Tim Sypher. Now we all knew something was amiss by the fact that he married Karen Sypher and still works for Pitino, etc. But we didnt really know the half of it. According to the Courier Journal story, Tim Sypher met his future bride, WHEN SHE CAME OVER TO GET HER MONEY FOR HER ABORTION FROM PITINO! Now think about that for just one second. You are sitting in your house, and a blonde walks in to meet your boss for the purpose of getting money to pay for an abortion she is having because of their random sexual encounter in a local Italian restaurant. What is your reaction to that encounter? (a) Mind your own business and ignore the proceedings (b) Thank your lucky stars it isnt you © Shake your head at your crazy boss and his big mistake (d) See the woman, fall madly in love and marry her in six months. Poor Tim Sypher chose D! Seriously, has there ever been a man more hard up than that? I have refused to date women because they looked at my friends in a strange way. But agreeing to not only date, but marry, a woman who had sex with your boss in a restaurant with Vinnie on the floor? Tim….wow, thats all I can say.

Not only the scenario that you describe, but remember Sypher and Pitino had UNPROTECTED sex and they both apparently have a fairly busy sexual history. So, did Sypher not mind that? Did he ask his new bride to go get tested? Odd situation for a fella to find a new Mrs.
August 12, 200917 yr I have to say I feel bad for his kids. I know they are grown, but it is still something they have to live with forever. The wife will be fine, as I feel certain she's known about the indicretions as long as Hilary has. :sssh::lol: :thumb::thumb: Rick Pitino deseres what he gets and worse, I feel for his family.
August 12, 200917 yr Cutler would be wrong. According to the police report linked by SSF Pitino said he gave her $3000 for an abortion. I think that was a report fo Pitino's lawyer....for insurance. As another said, most insurances do not cover pre exesrting conditioins so he can spin it all he wants, that is lame. I think that anyone can tell what the money went for.
