Mr. Football 2009-2010

Channing Fugate is The Horse that can and should win this race. Of course it's hard to get the votes from the Triangle as The Big Dipper always said. But Fugate should be the state's premier back and that position is a favorite for Mr. Football honors historically.

The most updated Rivals rankings:

FB #7 Channing Fugate...Breathitt County

RB #26 Miles Simpson...Simon Kenton

DE #30 Tim Patterson...Central

Willis highlights shows he's in the mix, for sure. Unbelievably good lateral moves for 250 lb RB and has tremendous hands. Watch him run over or around defenders. Will be a tremendous college player at either RB, DE or LB.

As long as he stays healthy, he has to be a serious candidate for Mr. Football. Does anyone know what offers he has received so far?

I watched that clip a few months ago, and he is very athletic for his size. I'd venture he'll play on the defensive line in college but he's a very good HS Rb.

And where did both those young men go to school. I am telling you right now, whoever is in the running better semi-commit to a Kentucky college or they won't have a shot of winning it. JMO!!!!

Atwell committed and went to Toledo for his 1st year. Mumme didn't recruit him, then when Morris took over, Atwell came in.

I know what you're saying, though.

All nice players and I am just as impressed with their offensive line. All great backs need a little push so they can take over. Good luck to all. 2010 will be a great class for KY football and it's long overdue.

Great video. What's the music. I loved that.

Does it make me old that I had to mute the music 1 min and 14 sec into the video?:laugh::laugh:

Oh and the kid...impressive.

How many uniforms does this team have?

You're right about that.

If Austin Collinsworth puts up big numbers at Highlands as a Running Back and they win the state title I believe he will win it.

Mr. Football is determined before the title games.

His all purpose yards will put him on top of the list.

Not real impressive to me as runner, maybe as a d-lineman but he has a high pad level for either.
