Why I love BGP's.............

Featured Replies

First of all I just want to say thank you to the Guru, all the mods, and all the long timers and fellow posters who make this site possible. I have been a member for years now, and am also a member on another premium site. Aside from the two, I also frequent many other Kentucky sporting sites. With that said, every time I visit those sites I realize why I love BGP's so much. While other boards are filled with ignorant arguing, and poster bashing, BGP's most heated debates are not nearly as bad in any way shape or form. I know a lot of you may not believe this, but if you frequent other sites and other boards you know what I mean, it is ridiculous some of the actions of posters on other sites, and I cannot believe people would conduct themselves in such a manner. Completely takes the enjoyment out of a site, which is why I thank God for Bluegrasspreps and its good ole' family atmosphere. Again, thank you all for having some sense, and again thanks to the Ru' and all Mods and Admins. who keep all of us in line. This is a wonderful site, and just visiting and being a member of others has made me realize this, especially seeing the difference in this site and others through the whole Calipari hiring-recruiting sagas. Again I cannot say it enough, I love BGP's and you all should too.

Here's to keeping all the riff-raff out and all the good sporting talk in.

The "veterans" of the site are what keep me around. We've all had heated debates amongst each other, but still have a great amount of respect for each other. :thumb:

Agreed! Plus you can win free school cloths for your kids.

I agree, I spend alot of time on here. Best site for updated and correct info, without all the bad language and negativity. Love the fact that BGP is like a family, many friends I have found throught this site.

Another thing I love about BGP is if you need info from across the state, just PM someone or make a post about it. Posters are more than willing to help out each other. :thumb:

I couldn't agree more, most forums are trash. BGP is more than worth the price of admission.

I agree totally. I went 4 months recently without BGP, and I went through serious withdrawal symptoms. Hopefully, I will never have to go through that again.

Guru has laid the foundation, and built up on it, a great site and service for Kentucky High School Sports talk, news, and discussion. He is the driving force behind all that BGP is and will be, I know I have to thank him for all that he does, not only for this site, but for Kentucky High School sports as a whole.

And, I know he will say, and I agree with him, the members are what makes BGP so great, the knowledge that the members provide about schools, rules, regulations, and players are inmeasurable. We have some of the most knowledgeable people about virtually every topic that you want to discuss, it is just amazing. If you want to know about a sport, politics, religion, how to work on your car, recipes, schools, or virtually any other topic, someone on this site can help you.

I would like to thank the members for making BGP such a great site, with out you knowledgeable members, this site would not be what it is.

Sounds like a lot of rear-end kissing to me. Everyone who has posted in this thread is now on double-secret probation.

Just kidding. I've been part of a few similar sites. Some are garbage, some are okay. BGP is the best.

BGP is by far the best site of this type I have ever seen. The Rules are there for a reason and are what sets this site apart from others.

It's OK I guess... :idunno:

Well, from a purely statistical standpoint...take away 70,000+ average posts and the site improves significantly.:D
