Why I love BGP's.............

Featured Replies

Well, from a purely statistical standpoint...take away 70,000+ average posts and the site improves significantly.:D

You make a great point... :ohbrother:

At least the vast majority of us can take a little good-natured ribbing.

If I'm gonna dish it out, I better be able to take it... :D

This is a great thread. There are many reasons why I love this site and a few of my main reasons have already been mentioned. First and foremost, BGP IS FAMILY, we can argue till' the cows come home about any variety of topics but when it comes to the things that really matter all come together! Check out the "prayers needed" threads is all a person has to do to see what I mean. I personally got great comfort from the prayer thread for my wife when she had a potential life threatening emergency surgery and the one when I was hospitalized a few years ago from a bad "exasberation" of my multiple sclerosis. I sant to take the time again to thank each and every one of you that posted your well wishes and prayers, they were greatly appreciated more than you will ever know.

BGP posters are very knowledgeable on any variety of subjects....h.s. sports, college, pro alonmg with any other of many topics discussed on here. As an avid outdoorsman, "the great outdoors" is one of if not my favorite forum on bgp.

I also agree about the long time posters here, you guys (and gals) are what make this site great. Guru started a great thing in this site, our mods and admin., long tiime members along with the others are what make bgp great.

Guru, admins and mods.....give yourself a hand!

I guess what I am saying is that if you think we have some idiots just read some of these other sites :ohbrother: and you will soon find out what kind of quality people (knowledgeable, informative and caring) are on bgp. :dancingpa

Heck, we are dang near royalty....

First of all I just want to say thank you to the Guru, all the mods, and all the long timers and fellow posters who make this site possible. I have been a member for years now, and am also a member on another premium site. Aside from the two, I also frequent many other Kentucky sporting sites. With that said, every time I visit those sites I realize why I love BGP's so much. While other boards are filled with ignorant arguing, and poster bashing, BGP's most heated debates are not nearly as bad in any way shape or form. I know a lot of you may not believe this, but if you frequent other sites and other boards you know what I mean, it is ridiculous some of the actions of posters on other sites, and I cannot believe people would conduct themselves in such a manner. Completely takes the enjoyment out of a site, which is why I thank God for Bluegrasspreps and its good ole' family atmosphere. Again, thank you all for having some sense, and again thanks to the Ru' and all Mods and Admins. who keep all of us in line. This is a wonderful site, and just visiting and being a member of others has made me realize this, especially seeing the difference in this site and others through the whole Calipari hiring-recruiting sagas. Again I cannot say it enough, I love BGP's and you all should too.

Here's to keeping all the riff-raff out and all the good sporting talk in.

It's well worth the $15 a year. Thanks HB20 for the recomondation!

You make a great point... :ohbrother:

..........There is probaby another 24,578 and counting that people could do without. I am not saying who but I know the guy pretty well. :idunno::sssh:

Thanks everyone but it is the members and our great staff that make BGP a wonderful place to spend your time. All I do is steer the ship on occasion.

Again, thanks everyone!
