The season already started????

I thought this was one of those replays. Looks much like what I saw last season.

Didn't start out that way ...

I know Jim, I'm simply lamenting.....

My son just said how tough it is being a sports fan in Cincinnati. If you're of a certain age you don't really know good professional teams.

Joey Votto has looked very impressive. I'm just glad baseball season has started, even if the Reds look horrible...

SS+CF has now cost the Reds two games! So much for being strong up the middle! I think Votto is going to have a really big year. I just told my dad opening day it will be interesting to see how long Harriston stays healthy...

Why did the strike zone expand in the bottom of the 9th?

Nice job striking out with the bases loaded. Typical can't even hit a fly ball to get a run in!

Mets tried to give it back to them but Reds can't capitalize on a gift.

Well thats what we get with Alex Gonzalez. A guy who really is not going to help out on offense at all, and a guy who is not as good defensively as he use to be. I like Gonzalez, but as I been saying all off season. I didn't think he was going to be as big of help to this team as many people kept acting like. I do hope he proves me wrong and has a great season offensively and defensively.

On a plus note the Reds did score 7 runs which is good. It will be a big help to have Traveras healthy and playing.

For the bolded reasons, I would like to see Valaika here sooner than later.

The first few batters were getting called strikes that weren't called all game. Then he missed more and more, but the Reds were willing to help on some.

In both games the strike zones have been very pinched.

I don't think anyone had hopes for Gonzalez's offence.

His defence isn't as good as it once was, but it's as good once as it ever was:thumb: LOL.

Back to being serious. I think Gonzalez will be better in the field than what we have in the farm system.
