April 9, 200917 yr In both games the strike zones have been very pinched. Totally agree, that's why I was surprised that borderline pitches were being called strikes to start the bottom of the 9th. I wonder if it has to do w/ every ball park has the cameras now and balls and strikes are being reviewed by MLB.
April 9, 200917 yr "This year will bring a more athletic outfield and better baserunning." Those were the words of Dusty Baker in Florida. Where is it at guys??? I've been to two games and seen about 4 baserunning mistakes and numerous outfield lapes'. I know Taveras hasn't started yet but c'mon those are thing High School players can't even get away with. AAAHHH!!!

Had good seats at the game last night though, and I was shocked they kept Hairston in the game. He could not put any pressure on the ball of his left foot. Looked like it hurt. I hope that Gomes is called up. Since the Keppy trade, we simply do not have any depth in the field.
