John Calipari is Kentucky's new coach.

Rock, let them enjoy this, why all the comments? It reminds me the way you was bashing Alabama and Coach Saban in 07. I went back and reread some posts. Give them a couple of days. At least Coach Cal didn't leave any Pro players to take the UK job.

Again, as you know, I can't stand Coach Saban either, but that's not for a vacancy of morals, more of ethics. There's nothing wrong with that. The latter, I beg to differ. Coach Saban doesn't walk the line, if you would.

Did they intentionally land at that particular airport in the efforts of avoiding the large crowd that had gathered at the other one?

RJ's plane......lands at RJ's airport.

With all of new recruits, I hope Coach Cal saves a spot on the roster for Landon Slone.

Its a walk-on position so as long as he still wants to remain there as a walk-on, I'm sure Calipari will allow it.

My bad, I think I read that but it just didn't register in my brain right away:D

He's not on scholarship so why wouldn't he have a spot?

However he doesn't fit Cal's system IMO.

BTW, ESPN is a joke in acting like Andy Katz broke this story...what a freakin' joke.

I agree.

He doesn't have the ball handling skills to be a viable part of it. He is also a little slow-footed, however I think that can be worked on. He does have a decent shot though even though he didn't shoot much when he played this past year.

It's been a long day from "The Door" to the "Airport Cam" to landing in Kentucky. I think it's time for bed for me. Want to be awake and alert before 9:30.

Typical ESPN for you....

In general, they are one of the last people to find out. The information is first found and leaked and eventually find its way to ESPN.

We knew on here almost a week ago

People get caught up with wins and losses, and I do enjoy them as well. However, I have never been wrapped up with them ever. I enjoyed Petrino's success, but in hindsight, am embarrassed by what he left behind. I feel Kragthorpe, given the chance, can right the wrong. My faith leads my to believe that as well.

With the aftermath was it worth it seeing Brohm win in the Orange Bowl?

ESPN is allergic to giving other sources credit.

Rock, I'll leave this alone because of the thread topic. but I'm a little closer to Bama/Saban than you are and I'll be glad to share with you what I know about him. I know how you feel remember, I reread your comments last nite.

That was my thought too.

I will say this, and I fold, I loved seeing Brian win the Orange Bowl....but at what cost, the program's future? NO.
