April 1, 200917 yr Rock, I'll leave this alone because of the thread topic. but I'm a little closer to Bama/Saban than you are and I'll be glad to share with you what I know about him. I know how you feel remember, I reread your comments last nite. I know, and I am sure that Nick is a very good person, but with my parents being fairly active in the Dolphins' organization, we are all entitled to our opinions. At the professional level, I feel a man's word is the most we can go on, and Nick doesn't garner that respect anymore. On a side note, I feel he is one of the very best coaches in the land.
April 1, 200917 yr I know UK probably chartered that plane to pick him up. Now to which booters plane was it. That was a dandy!!!! The owner likes Red, that's for sure. It was Corman's plane...landed over in Nichlasville...wonder if Cal is staying at BCG's tonight? Corman runs a giant railroad repair business. CSX is one of his biggest clients. So are any UK fans concerned about the negative side of Calipari.....illegal funding of players, legal battles, APR issues? Or do wins take top billing? Sure you are concerned and I'll admit in the depths of my mind there is that concern. However, after hearing Mike DeCoursy on the radio today and blowing that perception out of the water, I felt much better.
April 1, 200917 yr RP, ever change your mind in a job situation? Maybe he did give his word and meant it until Mal Moore convinced him to come to Bama. He even told Wayne "I'll stay if you want me to". Sorry, staying on the thread from now on.

I understand a change of opinion, but I also feel you should face that change of face. Men, can only be men if they are of their word, Nick walked away from that. I don't fault his decision, only his practice in coming to it.
April 1, 200917 yr I was laughing at Andy Katz today too. What a joke! BGP had much better info before ESPN! It reminded me of one of the better investing books I have read RULE NUMBER ONE. It talks about how the individual investor can nagivate much faster than the big dogs. That's what I thought about today while Andy Katz was way behind BGP!
April 1, 200917 yr They should have intervied Wireman, Labs, SSF, or GT instead of Andy Katz, Seth Davis and company!

I know it sounds weird, but I was really ticked to listen to Katz acting like he was the end/all be/all of this event. He was about the 10,000th person to find out about this. I really am at the point that I'll dis-regard any credit towards ESPN and their finds.
April 1, 200917 yr I love this feeling I'm experiencing right now. Our season is over yet it feels like our season has just begun!
April 1, 200917 yr They should have intervied Wireman, Labs, SSF, or GT instead of Any Katz, Seth Davis and company! It was pretty laughable, IMO. They acted like Katz was all over it

I live about 15 minutes from that airport.
April 1, 200917 yr I wish I wouldn't caught on to that Corman plane. I live about 15 minutes from that airport. I know the exact airport that he landed at too. My son and I had passed it several times when he was younger as I remember on 2 or 3 occasions having a baseball tournament in Nicholasville off Nicholasville Road. I can't remember the exact place (Something Complex) but I always remembered seeing this big private air landing stretch and my son had asked about it. I'm sure if he had known that he was going to land there, my son would've been there to see it as he is a die-hard Kentucky fan since the age of 3.
April 1, 200917 yr  Katz wasn't the one to break the story? This can't be What a joke: After over a day of deliberation, John Calipari is headed to Kentucky. The coach sent a text message to ESPN.com's Andy Katz on Tuesday evening saying, "I am accepting the UK job! Go Big Blue, coach Cal."

I really am at the point that I'll dis-regard any credit towards ESPN and their finds. I have Sirus and NFL radio is outstanding. They will break a story on Thurs and Sunday night ESPN will take credit for breaking it. They lost a lot of credability with me when that kept happening over and over. The guys on Monday poke fun all the time. Katz was cracking me up that he received the text "Go Big Blue". Seriously what a joke!

I check out those planes every time I pass :madman:
