April 1, 200917 yr I have no beef with Calipari, by rule, he's good....BUT Camby turned out to be ineligible, and some of his players have turned out to be shady characters (and that's a generous statement)....those type of kids will now be Wildcats, are the wins worth it? ...and don't get me wrong a ton of wins are coming. No disrespect Rock, but didn't UL football have similar issues last few years? And I am a fan of both schools, have children at each.
April 1, 200917 yr How many years ago was that? Did he have these problems at Memphis? I honestly dont know, but I don't believe he did. Don't worry Rick will still get his piece of the pie with recruits. :thumb: http://cornellsun.com/node/29581The Tigers got their crime season going before the hoops season even tipped off as the aforementioned Shawn Taggart and reserve player Jeff Robinson were arrested for inciting a riot outside the Plush Club. The charges were dropped after the players completed anger management classes and the two were never suspended. Either was starting center Joey Dorsey, who made it rain at the Plush Club just before his teammates were arrested. For those of you who don’t know, making it rain entails tossing money in the air just to watch it fall to the ground … like raindrops … get it?...
April 1, 200917 yr Well, that's disappointing. he landed at a private airport and noone was there lol
April 1, 200917 yr Also, I was on top of Gillispie getting the boot, as well :thumb: When my buddy first told me Calipari's name, I couldn't believe it. He told me that they talked to Donovan first, but he shunned us once again. I'm wondering if LABS or anyone can confirm that. He also told me that if the "A List" all fell through, Travis Ford would have been our coach. He was out "safety" net, so to speak. WM I told you all back before the SECT that if they didn't win it, I didn't think BCG would be back. Donovan shunned them again. Yes. Only this time he was further along than last time. Of course, I didn't catch wind of it until this weekend. I think there were a lot of rumors that came out Thursday night into Friday that were true, but seen as false once he backed away LATE. All is well, UK may have gotten a more dynamic guy in the process.
April 1, 200917 yr I have been glued to the TV and the message boards......long day! My sleep pattern is all messed up now.
April 1, 200917 yr Their APR is not good.... http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ncaa.org%2Fwps%2Fncaa%3FContentID%3D329&ei=_9rSSdDmLsSEtwfF-rjuBg&usg=AFQjCNGxMQ-BEDkptCAkuZdJ5lIAtGWB2A&sig2=pkm3f95p2Ay8WmJZD15hcA 4 yr b-ball 927 for Memphis which puts them dead middle. For comparison, UK and UL were both 941.

April 1, 200917 yr I liked winning the Orange Bowl. Coach Petrino's kids mostly graduated. Football to Basketball is apples to pianos. I do not like what Petrino mortgaged for his success at U of L. I support Coach Kragthorpe. I like you and have always enjoyed your posts + thoughts but I don't have a single UofL fan that would rather have Krags than Petrino. I also haven't met a KY fan that didn't want Cal over Billy G. Petrino had his share of thugs. There are a lot more kids percentage wise going to the NBA from top programs than to the NFL.

April 1, 200917 yr Rock, let them enjoy this, why all the comments? It reminds me the way you was bashing Alabama and Coach Saban in 07. I went back and reread some posts. Give them a couple of days. At least Coach Cal didn't leave any Pro players to take the UK job.

April 1, 200917 yr Well, that's disappointing. he landed at a private airport and noone was there lol Did they intentionally land at that particular airport in the efforts of avoiding the large crowd that had gathered at the other one?

People get caught up with wins and losses, and I do enjoy them as well. However, I have never been wrapped up with them ever. I enjoyed Petrino's success, but in hindsight, am embarrassed by what he left behind. I feel Kragthorpe, given the chance, can right the wrong. My faith leads my to believe that as well.
April 1, 200917 yr With all of new recruits, I hope Coach Cal saves a spot on the roster for Landon Slone.
