yeah, I pass it all the time. I check out those planes every time I pass :madman:

Well I'm sure we will get to see Calipari plenty for the next 8 years, hopefully longer!:thumb:

Dick Vitale thinks all the recruits should be able to open up their recruitment, but should be banned from attending Kentucky without sitting out..

He has two agendas:

Wants to suck up to UK fans, thus the hire was a grand slam, blah blah.

Wants to stay true to his roots, therefore he doesn't want Kentucky with great recruits.

It was pretty laughable, IMO. They acted like Katz was all over it

Hey now, who was the one that told you that Cal would be interested....:sssh:

That's my point - we were all over it way before ESPN was :thumb:

I agree that the NCAA needs to rewrite that rule. If you are an incoming frosh and your coach leaves before the start of the school, then all frosh recruits should be able to get out of their NLI and go anywhere they want and be able to play right away. I also think they should be able to follow that coach if they want.

^I totally disgree with that but he is entitled to his opinion.

I DO agree though with Vitale's position on the draft however. I think High School kids should enter the draft right out of high school if they feel like they are at a high enough level to do it. However, if they choose to bypass the draft and enter college, they should be there for 3 years before having a chance to enter the draft. College baseball is set up exactly like this to where if you do go to college, you must remain there for 3 years before putting your name in the box.

I would ask you to flip your perspective...let's just say UK actually earned the commitments of 2 four stars and a five, and the guy they committed to, went to Villanova, what would your opinions be on simply releasing them wherever they wanted to go? If you feel you are old enough to SIGN a commitment to a team, then go, or pay your own way.

He said he would pay to see the matchup between Kentucky and Louisville.Well....let him stand in line and PAY for a ticket.

^ I'll be there for free. I love it!!!

Preferably,Vitale is in section 231 row ZZ between Digger Phelps and a couple of rabid UK fans who have spent the entire afternoon at Hooters drinking Bud Light and eating hot wings!:D
