I think technically he can because I believe scholarships are renewed on a yearly basis.

 

Will he just "drop" anyone? I don't think so. I don't think the university will. I do think that the players he feels aren't the quality we are looking for will be given some "advice" that Kentucky may not be the best place and Kentucky will help them look elsewhere.

Not drop anyone but let them know where they fit in his system. Like Sorry Ramon I don't see you getting much playing time but you are welcome to stay if you want.

that was part of the negotiations with Cal and UK. He has complete control over the roster, to upgrade it as needed.

 

I totally see him cutting guys lose. Who can blame him. Why do you want to get critism losing with guys someone else brought in.

 

Let him run his program. Don't get to emotional about some decisions early and lets enjoy the ride. This is business, if you don't beleive it ask Gillispie and his staff. I don't feel bad about BCG, but his assistants got the boot and 1 months severance pay.

I am kinda torn about all of this. I am not sure if I am more happy about Calipari coming to UK, or his daughter coming to UK! He said she will be probably transferring from Memphis to UK!!! Maybe thats the secret weapon that Calipari uses to get guys to play for his program! He just whips out his daughter and one look at her, and they all come scrambling in!
