March 31, 200917 yr Guys, DeCourcy is only the most well-respected and knowledgeable college hoops writer in the business. But go ahead and take it personally and bash him for not putting UK up on the pedestal you guys think it is on.

March 31, 200917 yr I wouldn't want to coach at any of the top schools. But then again, I don't work well under a little pressure.
March 31, 200917 yr By everyone in and around the game. And I do mean everyone... See post 18. Lighten up guys. People still have opinions. Just because they don't match yours and or the majority, they STILL can speak there mind. :thumb:
March 31, 200917 yr OK, Jim we get your position on UK and their fans. It is a fair question to see what schools he thinks are ahead of UK. I agree and wish he would have. But you know as well as I that there's more than just that going on amongst the faithful, as evidenced by questions of DeCourcy smoking crack when making out this list because — GASP! — UK wasn't listed No. 1.

I couldn't help but to recall an old ESPN commerical in which Evander Holyfield starts running around ESPN's studio yelling "Charley come on out and get your whippin" because Steiner had stated that Holyfield was the 50th ranked boxer...in Georgia.
March 31, 200917 yr Kentucky is a #1 or #2 as a program. The job is about as desirable as the president of the United States. Great program, not so great job. Nicely put.

Pitt By current conditions do you mean this year? Pitt has been to one Elite 8 since 1974 (I think that's what I saw) and UCLA was in three straight Final Fours before this year. The two aren't even close. For some reason people think of Pitt as some national powerhouse, not the case.

Pitt This is what I am Looking for. History and since these recruits today have been watching. Lets be honest, kids today do not really care much about any history. Basketball or otherwise. Most recruits today could be at a Rafferty's and not know that they are having lunch with Joe B. and Denny. They do not know who they are!
