What is even scarier is that any anytime next year GRC can start 5 juniors! GRC next year will have 13 juniors!:scared::scared::scared::scared:

 

They have a nice freshman team too. I saw them play twice this year.

Congratulations to Mason on the win. I want to thank my GRC Cards for a great year and to wish the seniors the best of luck. We will miss Robert Hatton's leadership next year, but we have a talented group coming back and the future is bright.

Good Luck to the Cards and I hope you hit it hard this summer. Run, run and run. Then shoot Free Throws.

Yes, I meant develop. I just do not see a whole lot at the Freshman level with a lot of experience. Alan Stenzel will be good. Even the other Sophmore guards have not seen a lot of action. Martin probably the most. Sorry for the use of the wrong word.

Not to put words in sumo's mouth, but I'm thinking that there have been many folks that have been critical of the (real or perceived) Royals' home court advantage at the Fieldhouse. It wasn't a big deal until Mason County started winning a bunch of 10th region tournaments.

 

Last year's win at Montgomery County was pretty much a foregone conclusion; but this year was a different story. Two evenly matched teams on a neutral floor; yes, Mason County definitely had something to prove.

No offense, but I just dont buy all this "extra motivation" stuff once the ball is tipped off, except amongst the fans in the stands and, in this day and age, on message boards like this. Once the ball is tipped off, they both are wanting to advance to Rupp.

I talked to some Mason fans after the game and asked them how they liked the BOK? The said they didn't. I ask why? They said they didn't like the drive, .....I had to :lol:.

I won't say that,But this team had defiantly player much better on the road all year than home.

Once again I would like to congratulate Mason on a huge victory!

 

I also want to congatulate Clark on an excellent season fighting against ridiculous injury problems, and still growing stronger throughout the year!

I have no idea - you would have to ask some of the Clark County faithful. I was just speaking for sumo (and maybe I shouldn't be), who happens to be infinitely closer to the Mason County program than I.

 

I happen to agree with you on the "once the ball is tipped off" theory. But to think that none of this is discussed throughout the season by the team, coaches, parents, etc. strikes me as being a bit naive.

Just thought it ironic that I have seen excuses such as, food too high, rude ushers, bad potties, gym too small, and then for a Mason fan to come out and say they didn't want to drive ...this was honesty....I laughed, because I wasn't expecting this answer.,,,just more excuses.
