Got a great nights rest last night, not sure the title has sunk in yet completely but I know one thing, I can't wait for one week from today when we pay Rupp Arena a visit. Great job players, great job fans, and great job to the Royal staff! Great job BOKC and their support staff, you have a beautiful place. The best team last night won, this one is especially great for the senior basketball players as their careers will end at Rupp Arena, a dream I am sure each has had since they first started bouncing a basketball as a kid.

Well it only took us about an hour to work out the seating in the student section but I was there on the front row cheering my team on! Congrats Mason I will be there next week good luck against SV they are a tought team represent the 10th well

Shuda, Cuda and Wuda. The game plan for GRC seemed to change at the start of the 2nd half. It appeared they changed there offense and it did not work but they stayed with it throwing it inside. Don't fix it if it isn't broke. The big men for Clark (Zollo, Rogers and Purvis next year) have got to learn to kick the ball back out when they are double and triple teamed they have to trust there shooters and pass the ball back out. I agree way too many forced shots, when they not falling pass it. The old 3 D's "Drive, Draw and Dish". Clark Total had 4 assists. Also they need to practice, practice and practice FREE THROW SHOOTING. Also agree that Hatton should have been more involved in the offense in the 2nd half. I do not think Hatton shot a free throw all night. He was not very involved at all in the 2nd half. Hatton and Williams will be sorely missed next year. The press I will have to agree with D-Dawg no one wants the ball and Zollo and Rogers do not need to have it at half court dribbling and don't get it in the corner. It stays in the middle 1/3 of the court. Clark will have some great players next year they just all need to work together Coach Ohearn made the changes at half they needed to win. They have a great team and play well as a team. I wish them well.

I was amazed that Stenzel and Hatton didn't touch the ball more in the second half and get any more looks at the basket than they did. At one point I almost forgot they were out there on the floor. Of course good defense will kind of prevent their looks, but Stenzel is such a great creator with the basketball that it seemed like more touches could have been for that young man.

Purvis returning will help the cards in there depth at the big man position. But they are going to have to get some Guards.

2 great teams in a great contest last night. Scary part is, that both will be around for the next couple of years. At one time we counted 5 sophomores and the court between the two teams. :scared:

This was a great high school basketball game. The Royals were simply outplayed by GRC in the first half. The Royals seemed too keyed up the first half resulting in players trying to make plays themself instead of running their offense and couldnt press b/c werent scoirng.This plus the quality of play by the Cardinals resulted in big GRC lead at half. The Royal coaches were able to get the team settled down during the half break and in second half and MC began playing Royal ball. They starting running their sets, making passes and scoring so could press. The press keep the Cardinals from getting into their offensive sets.

The Royals bench may be their MVPs iwth Barner, Gilbert and Lang all contributing big time. Barner had a monster dunk that energized the team and Lang scored on a couple of nice moves plus solid defense. That Gilbert kid has no conscious. He had missed three or four threes but didnt hesitate to hit the big shot from the corner late in the fourth quarter.

Great win for the Royals. I hadnt seen Zollo before this tourney. I was impressive by the size of his feet but not his play. The impressive player on GRC is Stenzel. He didnt have a great game last night and seemed to be tired or rattled at times but he is a winner.

What is even scarier is that any anytime next year GRC can start 5 juniors! GRC next year will have 13 juniors!:scared::scared::scared::scared:

In December, when Mason was in Flordia, there were several posters who posted that the road to Rupp went through Clark Co. I posted the road to Rupp goes through Mason County and the State Champions. Several posters were critical of my statement as many thought Clark to be the favorite at the time. Clark has a very good team and will again next year, but the road to the championship always goes to the defending 10th Regional championship and especially in this case the defending state champion. This week the state championship goes through Mason County until we are eliminated. Remember, next year when basketball season comes around the road to the 10th Region championship goes through Mason until pries that trophy from out gruby little hands!!!!! Also, I will admit it is especially sweet to win both years that is was not held at Mason County. Trust me, there was some motovation there. Great job Boys and keep it up next week!!!!:ylsuper:
