Does anybody know when and what time the 9th region draw will be held?

I heard it would be Sunday at 9am.

I sat with Brandon Housley's grandpa tonight. Being a grandpa myself it was a lot of fun seeing how proud he is of his grandson. When Brandon made the all-tourney team the man simply beamed with joy.

Looks like a very balanced scoring effort from the dogs. There defense is clamp down and I hope to see it help the Bulldogs get back to Rupp.

Thanks for the pics Panda, I wanted to go to the game tonight, but I made the drive to Grayson to see my Alma-Mater (West Carter) play in the 62nd district title. Great job Bulldogs. Holmes may not win with the flashiest of statistics, but they almost always get the job done!

I did not think Beechwood would be able to keep it close. I knew this one would be a bigger loss in terms of points than the first. Beechwood scooted past CovCath barely, there was no way they could hang with the big dogs. Nice to see some balanced scoring from Holmes..

If Beechwood draws anyone other than Boone, they will win a game at the regional, maybe two. I don't think they can beat Boone or Holmes but they can beat any other team in the region (ask Highlands).

I don't know. I think if they get Highlands or St. Henry/Dixie whoever won that, then MAYBE. But doubtful. You never know though!

Ha, I'm in the 2nd picture.

Personally I expected more out of Pittman due to Beechwoods lack of size. They do have a big kid named Smith down low, but he is not nearly as athletic as Pittman. I thought Pittman could have done better, but this is a team game not an individual one. Great win for Holmes.

Smith is athletic but more of a true center. Pittman was scoreless at the half and scored most of points from the charity stripe. He got his shots after BHS went to a zone. Pittman IMO is a very lazy player who wastes his abundant talent talking. Holmes congatulations, especially to MVP Johnson. Good luck to HOLmes in the tournament.

Here are some numbers if interested.

Congratulations to the Bulldogs. You were clearly the best team out there last night.

Good luck to both teams as you move on!

I think Beechwood is done. No matter who they draw, they will be one and done in the Region. The nice season will come to an end. They can beat the other teams, but don't think they will in the region.

I am sure that everyone will want to draw Beechwood, they are by far the smallest school in the tournament, should be a easy W for whoever draws them.

Are you serious? So basically just because they are a small school they are going to lose? Beechwood has beaten a handful of DI schools this season and will be a threat to anybody in the region.

Overall Holmes was just too big for BW which caused many rebounding problems for BW. I remember at the game JJ missed 3 or 4 layups in one possession and got all of his rebounds and put it back in on about the 4th or 5th try. But, Beechwood had a poor shooting night, and I hope they got this game out of their system so they will play well in region. Congrats to Holmes on the win.

I agree 100%. Any team that looks past B-wood will be going home. They have already showed they can beat Highlands. The 35th owns the 9th and I don't see it changing. Last night B-wood ran into a buzz-saw, Holmes defense was everywhere. I think B-wood will respond and start the 9th off with a bang.
