One of my favorite figures of speech...

"And if pigs had wings....." is one of mine!

Knew the rules? He jumped in the air like he was shooting, and the ball slipped out of his hands, over his head, and across the halfcourt line, and then he went and pick it up and nothing was called. He either walked or it was an over and back.

Key Words here....like he was SHOOTING:laugh:

By the way GRC ended Mason Countys 19 game 10th region win streak here also.Time to start another 19 gamer guys.

Who was the last team in the 10th to beat the Royals? I am guessing it was GRC in the Finals of the Region.

:dancingpa[i think this is great, even as a Mason County fan. Can't wait until the region tournament. We will win the one that counts. Great game Cards and Royals, this is what makes 10th region bball great.

What I thought. With this group of Cards we have for the next 3 years....I don't look for another 19 game win streak in the 10th for the Royals in this time frame.

This win is a great confidence boster for the Cards. With all the injuries ....this is just what we needed going into post season.

Coach Humphrey said last night after the game when you have a chance to beat a tradition like Mason County basketball on a regular basis then you are being successful at building your own tradition. Mason is no doubt a tradition in the tenth region and in Kentucky, hopefully Clark County is in the first stages of building a winning tradition.:ylsuper:

Mason County has lost five games this year and all can be contributed to Poor FT shooting. Our FT shooting was not that bad last night until Clark pulled a Hack a Shaq twice on not our best shooters and yes we missed them. Middleton did hit two FT with 4.5 to give Mason the lead. On the foul Mason has to make sure that they do not give the Referee a reason to call the foul which obvisouly we did. The Referee creed is to let the players decide the outcome and don't blow a border line whisle. If the foul is not called thinking that they just witnessed a great game and that the Referees were not great but it was not deciding factor in the game. Instead a Referee made a very late controversial call putting himself in the limelight as he did in the state tourney a few years ago. Anyway, I sure hope that the did not like refereeing in the fieldhouse cause those games may be few and far between now.

I know Clark Couny fans are happy with the win, but I am even more confident in the next time we play. Clark was down 10 in the fourth quarter on their home floor and it a bail out call to beat Mason as time expired. Mason must do a better job of containing Stenzel next game as he was dominate in the fourth quarter and just plain don't miss at the FT line. Mason County should feel confident in the Regional if they are lucky enough to play again.

Great win for Coach Humhrey and his staff. Congrats to Robbie. He has some great bloodlines on both sides.

Is his dad Jay? If it is, I haven't seen him in a long time. Who is mom?

11 for 19, or 58%. About 54% for the year. Mason County's Achilles heel this year, for sure.[/quote]

I agree poor free throws cost the Royals the game last night....not the refs. You hit the free throws...you win.

Royals were 11-19, GRC hit 17-20 free throws...difference in the ball game.

Yes Jay is his dad and Ann is his mom.
