George Rogers Clark 56 Mason County 55

Knew the rules? He jumped in the air like he was shooting, and the ball slipped out of his hands, over his head, and across the halfcourt line, and then he went and pick it up and nothing was called. He either walked or it was an over and back.

Obviously you don't know the rules... I know the ref that made that call it was CORRECT!! Here is the deal... you don't know the rules then you want to call someone out that does? They are lucky that particular ref had a clue what was going on. It was an attempted shot in the ref's eyes. What's the difference if he would have shot it, hit the rim or backboard, no one touch it and it goes over halfcourt? None... That is why it isn't over and back. Actually the ref could have called it over and back and saved himself a bunch of grief but he had the guts to make the correct call! What else do you want from the stripes? They are there to make if fair for the kids.... not please the people in the stands that don't know the rules.

Can they do that? It's been their weakness all year.

Impressive win!

Terrible call to end the game.

Watched that foul call on news. How terrible of a call to end a game.

Well......I gotta tell ya , I recorded it , slowed it down, and played it back 5 times.............and it still stands !:deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

On a side note, with GRC not having Rogers and still winning, would this game have even been close WITH him tonight?

Big win for Clark without Rogers. Sounds like a great game.

It was a super great game. I agree not only was it a huge win with Rogers and Pervis out, but also Zollo was so sick and really shouldn't have played. Just showes the grit and heart that this team has. :thumb:

What makes the difference between a foul in the first 4 seconds of the game or the last 4 seconds. I didn't see the game but I've seen a lot of them where the official didn't have the guts to call a foul in the last seconds.

Thats true...There was contact or it was close enough the ref had to call it and put the presure on the kid to hit his free throws, which he did...If Mason makes their free throws that foul wouldn't have matter.

With a healthy Rogers I think the Cards would have won by 10+

You makin the trip up to Ashland tomorrow night.

Congrats GRC! Nice win and a good confidence boost. Oh, BTW how'd Hatton do?:thumb:

Watched a few of Mason County games this year. Until they get leadership, and start playing together, they will not reach their full potential. So many shots that get forced from experienced players with shooters spotted up. I would rather have Hamm and Gilbert shooting the three than trying to force up an acrobatic shot. It may be little bit more understanding if they were a good free throw shooting team. A little less I and a little more we, and I think they could be very good.

You sure you weren't at the game... Points...not his average, but a great game at running the point, setting up plays and finding the open man.

Stenzel lead all scorers with 30 points on the night on 9-16 shooting. This was a great win for the Cardinals considering that they lost their star center sophomore Corey Rogers two weeks ago with a injury.Scoring for the Cards, Stenzel 30, Robert Hatton 9, Ryan Williams 9, Vinny Zollo 8. With the win Clark County moves their record to 18-4 on the year. The Cardinals are back in action Saturday afternoon on the road against Ashland Blazer
