George Rogers Clark 56 Mason County 55

Not according to Danny on WFTM, he said there was contact. But, it shouldn't have mattered, let a ten point 4th qtr. lead slip away and again free throws down the stretch could have won it.

Listened to the 4th Q on the way home from the freshman girls' tournament. True Blue Danny Weddle thought there was a foul before the buzzer. Definitely a sad way to lose a game. Stenzel shows great composure for an underclassman. I'm sure the Tollesboro crowd is proud.

Bottom line Mason Co knocks down the free throws this game is over no question.

This says it all Mason knocks down there Free throws game is never even in doubt,When Royals lead by 10 late in game GRC started fouling(smart move by GRC) and it payed off.Congrats to the Cards on finding a way.As for the last call Danny weddle even said there was contact and a foul and hes as Royal as they get guys.Mason just has to get there Free throw shooting in line and they WILL win the 10th,If not they won't.

GO ROYALS

WOW!! Stenzil once again shows he has pure ice water in his veins! Playing a very depleted Clark County team Mason was not very impressive at all. Not the game I was expecting at all! Robbie was fouled and it affected a shot he would make more than half the time. Refs let a lot slide from both sides and Clark County pulled it out. You can blame whomever you want but a win is a win!

Say what you will Clark is a loaded and stacked for the future, better get used to it cause we will be in the hunt for a few years to come!:ylsuper:

If this is the case then you can't be impressed with GRC,Mason lead by 10 twice at the Cards house.

Just watched the play at the end of the game. He was definitely fouled. I personally think it was in the act. But you could argue that it was on the floor. But it was a foul. He was bumped off his line by the defender. It was an exciting game to watch. Not a very well played game by the Cardinals. Offensively they just didn't have a good flow. Vinny being sick may have played apart in that as his shot was off tonight. And on the defensive side of the ball way too many open jump shots. There were a couple of occasions where nobody was even in the area of the shooter. But the main thing is they came away with a win. But as I say every year, the regular season game is nice to win, but the one in March is the one that matters. Man if this team was healthy!!

Congrats to Gold and the Cards. A big win under some difficult circumstances. This sets the stage for a big time rematch at the NKU gym in about a month. 10th Region basketball rocks.

Nice win for the Cards. I predicted this one EXACTLY right! IMO, these two teams will meet in the 10th regional final.

I wasn't. I did expect Mason to make a run like they did and I also expected GRC to answer. It was like a heavyweight fight.

Only if they draw opposite of each other. :D

Guess all that scouting of Mason Co paid off.:thumb: Mhighfield I have always respected your posts. I didn't here what Danny said, as I was at the game. If he....the Mason Co broadcaster said there was contact....that is all that the rest of the Mason posters need as proof. I know he is well respected in his calling of the game.

Thanks Plato, really appreciate your post. Agree...this was a HUGE win under some very difficult circumstances. These Cards are tuff....if your a b-ball fan...gotta love em.

Only if they draw opposite of each other. :D

That's true...well, it will at least be semi-finals!

Congrats to GRC, I have been saying all along that GRC and Mason are on the same level even with the Cards injuries, it will be a real toss up come region time!

I didn't know if we could play with them, with all the injuries we have had. Tonight proved we can and even with a sick Zollo. A healthy Zollo....I like our chances.:thumb:

You sure you weren't at the game... Points...not his average, but a great game at running the point, setting up plays and finding the open man.

Stenzel lead all scorers with 30 points on the night on 9-16 shooting. This was a great win for the Cardinals considering that they lost their star center sophomore Corey Rogers two weeks ago with a injury.Scoring for the Cards, Stenzel 30, Robert Hatton 9, Ryan Williams 9, Vinny Zollo 8. With the win Clark County moves their record to 18-4 on the year. The Cardinals are back in action Saturday afternoon on the road against Ashland Blazer

Good to hear he played well. And i'll tell you what.. Stenzel is really something special. He usually tends to step up his game another notch or two this time of year. :thumb:

You makin the trip up to Ashland tomorrow night.

No..this one wore me out... I will try and give updates.
