Anyone who knows Henley knows that he is probably one of the coolest, calmest coaches in NKY. It takes a lot to fire him up. It was refreshing to see him give her a piece of his mind because she is absolutely HORRIBLE. She did the same thing to Holmes against Holy Cross earlier in the year as well when Holmes started pulling away.

 

She is not impartial when it comes to Holmes. It sounds like Tom Haas, director of officials in the 9th region, needs to scratch her from calling future games involving Holmes.

I guess I am a rare fan that prefers the coach to have more of a cool attitude toward the officials and concentrate on the game. With that said, the calmest has to go off when really warranted!:thumb:

 

Don't get me wrong I love Henley's cool attitude on the side line. I think it's the reason his teams play so well down the strecthes of close games. It's just I have never not once seen him give it to a ref. It's been like 12 or 13 seasons he has been at Holmes. 12 or 13 seasons at Holmes with the calls they get in the 9th region is a lifetime and what happened tonite was well over-due [trust me]. He got his money's worth and it made my day.:popcorn::clap:

After 21 from Holmes was fouled and went down to the floor, #3 walked over top of him. The ref saw it and let #3 know it he did.

 

Holmes is a fun high school team to watch. The Highlands kids were tough.

 

Did anyone besides me think Pittman walked before the windmill dunk? No way the refs could have called it as I think the Highlands fans would have felt ripped off.

No one was watching his feet. We were waiting to see what he was going to do, there was no way anyone in that gym what looking at his feet ha ha.

The lady ref that did Holmes game tonight is absolutely horrible and has been horrible all 3 times I've seen her do Holmes games. At one point she was the only one blowing the whistle. IMO she needs to realize this isn't girls basketball and let the boys play a little. BTW..she's a Holy Cross grad I believe.............

I feel the motivational effect is much more valuable when used selectively like this! It's a valuable weapon that many coaches dont have in there arsenal since they go off on a regular basis.

Just saw highlights of the game on news 5...they do a horrible job showing highlights. They show 2 lay ups by Pittman, but don't show any of his dunks? :confused::irked:

Brad Carr is a former Bulldog faculty member as well. I believe at Holmes he was a science teacher.

She isn't shy about blowing the whistle against Holmes...she did the same thing in the Lloyd Tourney and also when Holmes played Holy Cross. In all three games I've seen her do a Holmes game, she has blown the whistle ATLEAST 3 times in 30 seconds against Holmes when they build a big lead. She did it to them when Holmes built an 18 point lead against Holy Cross and did it tonight when they built a 19 point lead against Highlands.

His windmill dunk was a thing of beauty. Also the "and one' dunk where he dunked over Watson and Grubbs while also getting the foul was pretty nasty as well.

Possibly. Housely is more prone to foul trouble though which is the reason you don't see him start. Housely is probably better offensively when compared to D. Johnson, but Dom is a much better defender IMO which is the reason he gets the start.

 

No way... Housely is known as a defensive player. Not saying DJ isn't solid on D, but there's no way you think Housely isn't starting because of his D. I remember comments about Housely being the defensive stopper this Holmes team needed after losing Arrez from last year.
