Holmes 77 Highlands 68

Featured Replies

She isn't shy about blowing the whistle against Holmes...she did the same thing in the Lloyd Tourney and also when Holmes played Holy Cross. In all three games I've seen her do a Holmes game, she has blown the whistle ATLEAST 3 times in 30 seconds against Holmes when they build a big lead. She did it to them when Holmes built an 18 point lead against Holy Cross and did it tonight when they built a 19 point lead against Highlands.

That's fine and that's your opinion about her I have no problem with that. My question was why was the shot about her being a HC grad needed at the end, because it was irrelevant to her reffing.

No way... Housely is known as a defensive player. Not saying DJ isn't solid on D, but there's no way you think Housely isn't starting because of his D. I remember comments about Housely being the defensive stopper this Holmes team needed after losing Arrez from last year.

Don't get me wrong, Housely is a defensive stopper...but he's prone to foul trouble and doesn't handle the ball as well as DJ which is the reason he doesn't start.

But you just said he didn't start because Dom was better on Defense???????:idunno:

You don't think her being an HC grad and calling games like that against Holmes don't go hand in hand? You might not agree with me, but that's just my opinion.

You wouldn't like Coach Brad Carr then from Scott several miles down the road. He is a complete 180 degree turn of what you just described:sssh::lol:

Im not saying that there are not great coaches that go against my phylosophy, but it is much easier to examine and critique those that do. There are a lot of coaches IMO that survive off of constantly berating the refs and occasionally their players, because that is what the fans expect and appreciate.

I believe what I am hearing about Henley in the atmosphere in which he coaches, speaks volumes about his coaching ability!

I honestly think she's just a horrible official. She's been bad for HC too, but I could definitely see where Holmes would see the correlation between her attending HC and screwing Holmes over... especially considering when she went to HC since it was a bigger rival then.

Re read my posts...Housely is a defensive stopper but at the same time is PRONE TO FOUL TROUBLE...which is why he doesn't start. Dom is a solid defender and doesn't get in foul trouble. With Housely being the better offensive player wouldn't you want him coming off the bench to save him for late game situations, rather than picking up two quick fouls??

I highly doubt she would still go against Holmes just because she went to Holy Cross. IMO i don't think that would come into effect. Also, I don't think she calls it bad just against Holmes. I was at the Connor game and HC game and I think she was pretty bad all around, not just against Holmes. JMO.

Glad you can atleast somewhat see it from the perspective that I do. :thumb:

Lol I'm not arguing Henley's decision. In fact I agree with him. I'm saying you're wrong for your reasoning. You specifically said Housely is the better off player but doesn't start because DJ is the better def player. Then you told me Housely is a defensive stopper, but Dom doesn't get in foul trouble and is a better ball handler. Last time I checked there isn't a lot of ball handling on defense.

Edgington also screwed HC. In the All "A" finals last year, she overruled an out of bounds call and HC lost. Her being an HC alumnus has nothing to do with her officiating. She's just plain bad all around.

Got my room already at the Sheraton/Four Points :thumb:

To quote possibly the best coach ever in the 9th region: "February wins are a fools gold".
