February 6, 200917 yr Either way it's a cheap move by Meyer and I have no love for the University of Florida, so anything that makes them look bad makes me happy.

I agree and this surprises me about Urban Meyer. If this is not a rule, to me, it should be. Maybe it is an unwritten, gentleman rule between coaches unless it is Tennessee and Florida.
February 6, 200917 yr This is considered a pretty big no no by the NCAA... Which one? Meyer breaking rules or Kiffin calling him out?

Maybe it is an unwritten, gentleman rule between coaches unless it is Tennessee and Florida. Why would this surprise you about Meyer? I have seen nothing that makes me think he is a great guy. If anything, he comes off as a little sneaky to me. I do know that when UT plays UF next season, Tim Tebow is going to go :taz:
February 6, 200917 yr Lexington WKYT news sports director Rob Bromley just reported that the SEC has repremanded Kiffin and he is to issue an apolgy. Bromley reported that it (Meyers call) turned out that was not against rules and was the reason for the action by the SEC. http://www.wkyt.com/sports/headlines/39162612.html So, looks like Kiffin was the one way out of line. I personally don't care either way, I don't like either one of them. Exactly, When I first seen this I knew it couldn't have been a rule. Kiffin better watch his butt and be sincere with the apology. He might get beat by fity next year
February 6, 200917 yr I like his willingness to speak out but he should know the Rules, before making an allegation like that. I tend to agree with this statement.....I don't mind Kiffin coming out and spewing venom, he needs to have an edge right now. Simply make sure that what you are saying is verfiable.
February 6, 200917 yr I was hoping there might be a picture of the vol coachs's wife. What kind of name is Urban anyway? The guy was joking.
February 6, 200917 yr I wouldn't use "sneaky". I see very intense and highly competitive, and from what I have heard he is a class act. I think calling a recruit repeatedly while he is visiting another institution is not cuth. It sounds like it is legal, but certainly not cuth.
February 6, 200917 yr Funny...Meyer did nothing wrong. I think Kiffin is in for a rude awakening, period.
February 6, 200917 yr Funny...Meyer did nothing wrong. I think Kiffin is in for a rude awakening, period. I agree. Kiffin should keep his mouth shut, especially if he doesn't actually know what he is saying .

I think calling a recruit repeatedly while he is visiting another institution is not cuth. It sounds like it is legal, but certainly not cuth. So that's how you get recruits to come out to Utah? No thanks. I've despised Meyer since all the whining prior to the NC selection a couple years back. If you get a chance look up the graduation rates for his players, and some other well known SEC coaches. Startling to say the least.
February 6, 200917 yr Does Kiffin come across as a snooty, arrogant, little child who has been given everything or is it just me? I for one have not liked how he has handled the Raiders situation when leaving and now this. I hate 2 SEC Football school Auburn and UF and and do not like Meyer because he is at UF, but what Kiffen did was just ignorant.
February 6, 200917 yr I agree. Kiffin should keep his mouth shut, especially if he doesn't actually know what he is saying . I agree. It's Meyer's job to recruit kids for his program. So what whne he makes a call and the kid is at UT, how is he going to know the kid is at UT? Oh well Kiffin just cost his team 2 TD's next fall.:isurrender:
